What can cause a 2.7 L 24 value to over heat when fans are working

several options
low water in the cooling system--check at radiator cap for full radiator
blocked radiator cores --have a flow test done by a radiator shop
corroded fins on the radiator cores --replace radiator
faulty thermostat---check thermostat operation /replace if necessary
air lock in cooling system---have the air bled out
have a compression test done to check for head gasket/cracked head

What is the problem with too much pressure in the radiator? because my honda fit spits water while running until it drains. then the heat alarm lights on for just 20 kms travel. I tried starting the

There is a good chance that you have a blown head gasket. When cool refill radiator with water and leave the cap of. Start the engine and check for air coming from radiator. If the radiator keeps blowing air bubbles you have a blown head gasket.

Why is my coolant overflowing when my 2006 Chevy equinox heats up?

thet moment stop your engine and grab top radiator hose, feel the heat then grab lower radiator hose they have to be hot same heat. Top hose very hot is radiator blockage, Or lower hose very hot thermostat damage ,for test thermostat tide whith a string or wire have one glass cold water and juck boiling water deep thermostat in and you have to see the opening if is not then you have to replace it. Don ever youse radiator flush with the thermostat on. Blown head gasket means continual air bubble when you remove radiator cap special white froth, check for loose or damage hose and heter leaks when cooling system is under pressure.check low and high rpm exhaust fumes.

My 99 alero v6 is over heating not leaking ight mite be hoses or thermostat . or head gasket but when it overb heats the smoke comes from the top of the engine

REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP.IF CAR OVER HEATING WHILE IN MOTION.MORE LIKELY ITS THE THERMOSTAT,LOW COOLANT IN RADIATOR OR COOLANT SYSTEM,BAD WATER PUMP,WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE IS LEAKING, WATER PUMP NEEDS REPLACING.CHECK ENGINE OIL,IF OIL LOOKS LIKE MILK SHAKE YOU HAVE LEAKING HEAD GASKET.IF CAR IN PARK AND OVER HEATS WHILE IN A LONG TRAFFIC LINE OR.BANK DRIVE THROUGH COOLANT FAN NOT TURNING ON, BECAUSE THE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAULTY.CODE SCAN CAR FOR FAULTY COOLANT FAN RELAY OR FAULTY PCM. CHECK COOLANT FAN FUSE, AND HOT WIRE THE COOLANT FAN TO MAKE SURE ITS WORKING.IF COOLANT FAN DONT WORK WHEN HOT WIRED. COOLANT FAN NEEDS REPLACING. REPLACE BOTH RADIATOR HOSES, REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP.BUY NEW COOLANT ADD 50/50 WATER AND COOLANT.IF ENGINE OIL HAS ANTIFREEZE IN IT.REPLACE ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER TO KEEP FROM LOCKING UP THE ENGINE.GET CAR FIX.DONT KEEP DRIVING IF IT KEEP OVER HEATING,ENGINE DAMAGE WILL OCCUR.I HOPE INFORMATION I GAVE YOU WILL FIX PROBLEM.PROBLEM COULD BE LEAKING RADIATOR HOSES BUT CHANGE THERMOSTAT THATS FIRST THING I WOULD CHANGE BECAUSE IF IT CLOSED, ENGINE WILL OVER HEAT AND CRACK CYLINDER HEAD OR CRACK PISTON, COOLANT NEED TO CIRCULATE THROUGH THE ENGINE TO TAKE AWAY THE HEAT FROM ENGINE.

What could be the reason for over heating? give me some parts i should look at

Possible reasons of over heating include, low water, thermostat, no thermostat installed, radiator stopped up inside with gunk or outside with bugs, broken or missing radiator shroud, missing lower air dam, fan not running if electric or fan not running because of oil filled fan clutch, intake gasket or gaskets stopped up, blown head gasket, cracked head, cracked block. I put these in order of simple to hard and mostly low price to high price. Hope this helps.

1995 Nissan Maxima Over heating, no heat blowing, water not moving

Simple thing to test first would be to pressure check the radiator cap. Next would be to check for combustion gases in the radiator indicating a leaking head gasket.  It is an aluminum head and iron block engine and there is a possibility that antifreeze anti corrosionpackage runs out due to over age then fails due to too long in the engine it results in galvanic corrosion at the head gasket-commonly resulting in a failed head gasket.  There are other engines that are vastly more prone to this than the maxima engine.  If there is a leaking head gasket the gases could rise to the top of the system and block the water flow into the heater.  Listen for gurgling sound in the heater.
