P0170 code is a malfuntion with basicly an oxgen sensor bank one this i know for sure . But P2187 is vary spiscifc to volvo . Its not a transmission code . So it must be a catyalic restertion code the two go to gether and would make sence . But eigher call the dealer or have the code read at a shop before you make the final dianostic and start spending money on it. It may but a bad 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 that will clog the oxgen sensor in time . So head it off now you may get out cheaply

Both of these codes are related to fuel weakening. Normally it's an issue with an air leak in the inlet manifold, normally by a defective PCV valve. Hope this helps...

Both codes relate to the same thing the car is running too lean and that the fault is indicated as fuel supply related. It may be that the fuel pump is not performing at an optimum level so that there is insufficient fuel pressure or that the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail has developed a fault. Have the pressure in the fuel rail measured (there is usually a Shrader valve on the fuel rail for this very purpose). If you disconnect the fuel rail it should be able to produce about 500ml (1 pint) of fuel in 15 seconds. Keep safe and remove all possible sources of ignition when doing anything with the fuel line.

SOURCE: Radio code for volvo s40
If the display says "Off" the radio is locked from incorrect code input.
You need to leave the key in the accessory position with the radio on (display reads 'Off') for about two hours.
After that it should ask for he code again. You have three tries before it locks again.
Some radios are different, but typically you use the knob to adjust the numbers, push the knob in to move to the next number

SOURCE: volvo s40 t5 2005, water
Most likely the sunroof drains are clogged. It happened to mine, the floormats and floors were soaked, especially behind the drivers side. Volvo wanted to charge me $550 to clear them out and dry out the floors. Instead I took it home, rolled down the windows, parked it in the sun and let it dry out. Then I found a mechanic who blew out the drains with compressed air for only $20. He had originally quoted me $50-100, but ended up doing it for less. He said the two back drains are clogged. You can try sticking a small flexible wire down the front two yourself, then pour water down to see if it drains properly out the bottom of the car. When I looked I didn't see the two back sunroof drains, but my mechanic said they were clogged with leaves, you might be able to clear these yourself too. I would have never guessed that it was the sunroof causing this, because you don't see the water leak around the sunroof, you only see the water backing up on the floor. Don't take it to the dealership, it's a simple job and they will rip you off.

It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then
it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure
