SOURCE: Can't put gas in ank
You'll have to lay down to see it, but use a light if needed, and look up at hoses going from filler (where you put gas in) to tank, my guess is that one of them has a kink in it. Smaller one is vent/overflow, larger one is for fuel to tank. By the sounds of it, if this didn't occur for sometime, Kia, may have a technical service bulletin or recall on it if both are doing the same thing, so it wouldn't hurt to give their service dept a quick call in case it's a free repair.

For that many codes I would refer you to a bulletin covering the 123 and 124 connectors. This bulletin has instructions on how to upgrade these 2 connectors which connect the engine to the ECM. The connectors are located under the intake manifold towards the firewall. You need to remove the battery, pull the connectors apart, give the male side a slight twist, then you add Stabulent 22 to the connectors and reconnect. The dealerships also add some clips to hold the connectors together better. This task is not an easy one due to the location of the connector. I have done it many times in the past and this helped many of my costomers. Anither thing to check is the continuity to ground at the MAF. This also can indicate bad connection throughout the engine harness. to upgrade this connection, clean the ground connections at the battery and under the battery tray. these simple uperations should have been made into normal maintenance for the 95 - 99 Sportages.
