SOURCE: How do I replace a broken fan belt?

if it is a serpentine belt.... there should be a sticker in the engine compartment that will show you the routing of the belt... if you can't see it... look up at the bottom of the bonnet when you open it.

a regular fan belt may require the remove of another belt to put on the new one.

Ford 7810 series 2 hydraulics have gone very slow have pressure tested tractor and it is OK until you rev it up the pressure goes oil sound like it is sergin in back end of tractor oil level OK ?

Best advice is for you to list this in Lawn and Garden or Construction equipment section for Tractors. There is a valve knob on a 4000 series that proportions hydraulic flow from more in back than front depending on the setting. If you have a front loader or if you have rear attachments you can get more action on the end you want. On a 4000 the knob is by the right heel of the driver. Could work like this for 7810.

Ru awake, fy? Looking toward Ford 2.9L engine from in front of radiator, which way does crankshaft/fan/belts rotate...

You still haven't got this truck back together, or gone to a junkyard to find a like model? Let's pretend you are an object. If you always saw the exposed side of the pictured fan, would you be the radiator, or would you be the engine. What does it look like this week? The same or different? I can't call it from here. The main idea lies in the coupler that attaches the fan/clutch/shaft to the drive belt. If it is left hand thread, the shaft normally turns clockwise. Vice versa for right hand thread.

I would've already ended my agony by installing an electric fan if I couldn't figure it out. From that 2008 toyota next to the ranger I went to the u-pull-it yard to look at. 4 bolts and 20 bucks and all that wonder why would end. uploadserror please enter an image url (gif, jpg, png).

Tractor case 585xl front diff not driving. Front shaft drives but not wheels.

I am thinking that you have a broken/ stripped drive spline on a front axle. If you have reduction gears in the hubs , it may be stripped teeth on a gear. If you jack up one front wheel and turn the drive shaft that wheel should turn. IF so repeat the procedure for the other wheel and if it doesn't turn like the other side then that is the side with the problem

My 95" ford windstar jolts when putting it in drive and shakes when hitting a certain speed

front end issues ..out of round tires , out of balance, drive shafts going bad, put up on a lift where the wheels dangle in mid air(like a tire shop) and check under the front end for anything loose or broken..

Hi im tray ing to put me self a universal joing for de drive shaff cant u send me how to doit

  • Lift the rear end of the Explorer with a floor jack. Place jack stands underneath the rear axle, by the leaf spring perches and lower the Explorer onto the stands. Pull the floor jack out of the way. mark both ends of the shaft for reinstalation.

  • 2

Crawl under the rear end and unbolt the universal joint retaining straps from the rear differential yoke.

  • 3

Pull the drive shaft and universal joint away from the rear differential yoke by hand.

  • 4

Remove the retaining rings that hold the universal joint into the drive shaft with needle-nose pliers.

  • 5

Support the end of the drive shaft on a jack stand and place the socket extension against the universal joint cap in the drive shaft yoke. Tap the socket extension with the dead blow hammer until the universal joint cap comes out of the yoke.

  • 6

Clean the sockets in the drive shaft yoke with the tip of a pocket screwdriver to remove any built up road dirt or other gunk.

  • 7

Remove two of the caps from the opposite ends of the replacement universal joint. Be careful to keep the bearings in the caps.

  • 8

Position the replacement universal joint in the drive shaft yoke and put the cap on the outside. Use the socket extension and dead blow hammer to tap the cap through the yoke far enough to expose the retaining ring groove. Put the retaining ring on that side with the needle-nose pliers. Repeat this for the other cap.

  • 9

Move the drive shaft back up to the differential yoke, line up the new universal joint with the differential yoke and reinstall the universal joint retaining straps with the wrench. Lower the rear end off the jack stands with the floor jack.

Rear makes noise like im dragging beer cans behind

Could be the universal joint. The way to check would be, where the "pumpkin" or rear end is, grab a hold of the shaft which points towards the front of your truck, then wiggle the shaft back and forth. There should be no play here, if there is you need a new universal joint.

How to get the front drive shaft past the sway

it comes out without lowering the sway bar
you unbolt both ends of the shaft and pull the front part out past the front diff towards the front of the engine and the rear part of the shaft will just fall out if you cant figure it out
just remove the 4 15mm bolts that hold the sway bar to the frame and it will lower enough that will get it out no problem at all
