That isn't the light for low tire pressure. Low tire pressure will have what looks like a tire- flat. It is your VSA someone probably hit the button and accidentally. look to the left of your steering wheel there is a button that says VSA push it and see if it turns it off. I notice that this post is pretty old, so you may already have gotten the answer from your dealer, but I'm posting in case someone has the same problem later on.

This is the flat tire light. either your tires are low on pressure or the flat tire light button is stuck down. if your tires are low refill to same pressure I usually use 35 psi. then start the car stay parked. depress the flat tire button located either under the ebrake or just to the right of the ebrake. hold for 10 sec. then drive car for 5-10 min do not drive hard. drive on normal roads 25 -35 mph then drive on the highway. If the button is stuck find some kind of electrical cleaner and just keep trying to clean it till it no longer sticks down.

You have a systems problem that needs a scan tool to download this information and decipher this info for a tech to understand. A good place to have this done is a specific Mini Cooper shop that uses the correct or equivalent scan tool in order to read that info correctly. Generic readers will at times give out the wrong descriptions because it reads the SAE (govt required) codes and not specific Mini trouble codes.

It should be letting you know that you have a tire pressure problem. If you still have the owners manual read it. It will explain what to do, what to look for and how to reset the light if need be.
