Hi, viewer. It is possible what you heard is the purge solenoid in action. When the engine is running, you'll get to hear this continuous ticking noise from time to time, part of normal operation. Its only wise of you to check the oil and indicators on IPC ,and feel the engine performance Just to rule out some doubts. Keep it up. As to the noise, if you feel the ticking noise is quite annoying and seem not to fade away for a certain engine period, as if its always ticking all the time, just bring it to your trusted shop for verifications. Drive safely, and goodluck! : )

My check engine light came on after I failed to close gas cap tightly on my 2008 Acadia, how do I reset computer

It should reset itself after a few start/stop cyles.
If not, or you're in a hurry, find the ECM fuse and pull it out, wait a few seconds and replace it.

What's your problem?so a few days ago on my GMC Acadia 2008 SLE the panel where i control the AC/Heater stopped working, the display is on, but the buttons are not working and dont light up, does

You might just have a wire loose somewhere. My 96 Cadi did that a couple of times lastyear, then it was fine. Hasn't done it since.` So, who knows! Sorry, not much help to you.

My Acadia 2008 stopped suddenly ,, battery Ok ,, but the engine cannot turn on again I brought many technical guys but no point ,, still when I turn the key on only For your info. The oil is expired (...

{: ) A few of the many possible reasons I can think of : ignition switch, engine fuseblock, ECT sensors, engine control module, TDM, wiring ..... When you said you brought many technical guys, i presume they didint miss checking the oil, and fuel pressure, and coolant. I dont think an expired oil life reading can stall your vehicle. Actually, if the oil life remaining reads 100%, you are still very far to servicing your engine oil. The counting is from 100% going towards 0%. I suggest a scan tool readout, it wont hurt your car much. Just to trim down some of the guessing games, and get a clearer view.

Ticking noise

A small exhaust leak can sound like a ticking noise during acceleration and can get better or worse as the system heats up. I had a similar problem when the engine was cold that was solved with a new exhaust manifold gasket.
