If you hear a / some noise its not the motor which is great news cause they are costly. It is the wax pieces that are inside the housing. Of course you have to take off the door panel and lift up/ peel back the weather / noise reducer, which can/ will be made of thick paper like or plastic. easy fix.

i have fixed this problem on mine remove front drivers door panel trace your ground wire from window switch and make sure you have a good ground once you fix your ground you will fix your windows

all of it is run through the drivers switch so I would say drivers switch is bad .

4 Door. Drivers side rear window has dropped down


window regulator has failed. Look for an after market one the GM replacement is junk. Usually it is a clip that holds the cable to run window up and down. probably a safety clip used if someone gets cought in the window, GM will charge you over $400 for the fix. not hard I have it down to about 30 min. and around $100 for the regulator.

unfortunately there is no way to "fix" that particular issue. the switch needs to be replaced.

Driver side window went down and won't come back up. Is there a way to open the panel in order to fix the window?


u can open the door bracket and see if the window is dislocated or to chek the motor is still working . not a very hard thing to do

drivers side door switch is a master switch replace master switch thats the only fix
