The clicker could just be a battery change in the fib - fingers crossed.

For the sunroof and windows try the fuse box.

Interior lights could be the switches on the doors (unlikely) a fuse !!, buld in light has blown.

Its all down to a process of elimination I'm afraid.

GOOD LUCK

Sorry to hear about your problems with your Jetta. What you need to do is spend the money to get things working right and then SELL THE CAR. These cars seem to either be good reliable vehicles or absolute bottomless pits for cash. You will not save enough in fuel costs to pay for repairs. I am a long time VW mechanic and I NEVER recommend these cars to friends. Yes, they drive nice. Yes, they get good mileage (but not a lot more than some Hondas and Toyotas that I can think of). Just wait until you have a bad injection pump or turbocharger. Get rid of it. Sorry to be of no help other than that. There are quite a few possible causes for your electrical problems. I could find them pretty quick if the car was here but not over the internet. Again, sorry.

I have a 2000 VW Jetta and the trans fluid just leaked out!

if you can do it yourself get under the car and make sure that the pan bolts are tight if they are look for any hoses going to and from trans make sure that they are all connected and tight even though the fluid never has to be changed there is still a fill tube make sure that the end of the tube that goes into the tranny is secure and tight being that you had alot of engine work done its possible that one or all of these things could be wrong could have inadverntenly loosened it up and forgot to retighten. hope this at least gives you a starting point.

I own a 2000 VW Jetta. Radio completely Dead

Have you checked the radio fuse? You may have blown the fuse when you jumped the car. The fuse box should be out under the hood encased in black plastic.

Could either be a bad switch or connection. Check with voltmeter to see if the bulb socket is getting continuous power. If it isn't, check power at switch and wiring.

When you install an engine, you don't "line up" gears. It's likely that either you have a worn shift fork or synchro (both inside the transmission).

2000 Jetta is Leaking antifreeze and smoking

I think you mean you saw water vapor (some call it steam) not smoke.

You probably have a hose leaking (badly). If it's not a hose, your water pump shaft seal is probably kaput.

Constant light on dashboard

My '01 TDI had the same issue and apparently it was a switch gone bad behind the horn and airbag. . . so no idea if the airbag would have worked had I been in an accident. Definately worth going to VW and having it looked at though. Better safe than sorry.
