SOURCE: Refitting Saab 9-5 Turbo

The turbo is located on the front cylinder bank, under the engine cover and heat shield. The exhaust turbine housing is integrated into the exhaust manifold so this entire piece must be removed. Contact me via email and I will provide information on where to get your turbo rebuilt.

SOURCE: How to sync phone with Saab 2003 / 9-3, with bluetooth device?

Sorry, the original Swedish version of the 9-3 had the bluetooth capability but GM removed it for cost reasons. GM has ruined Saab in many ways. There is no way to sync your phone with your 9-3.

Transmission removal

Hi, you will need a jack, jack stand, wrench, ratchet set and pliers to complete this job successfully. You have to start by raising the front and rear of your Saab using the jack and place it on jack stands. The entire Saab should be off the ground.
Then you continue by removing the shift linkage and throttle body from the transmission using the wrench and ratchet set. Use the pliers to loosen the nut securing the vacuum hoses on the transmission and remove the vacuum hose. Remove the speedometer cable using the pliers.
Slide the rear U-joint out of the rear end of the Saab's transmission as you remove it.
You then place the transmission jack under the transmission. Lift up on the transmission slightly to relieve weight. Disconnect the lower bell housing, torque converter bolts and bell housing bolts using the ratchet set and wrench.
You finally remove the transmission mount and cross-member bolts using the ratchet set. Lift the transmission using the jack to remove the cross member. Lower the transmission slowly while pulling it toward the back of the car.

When I switch fro defrost to ac the airs still comes out through the defrost by the windshield

It sounds like a vacuum hose has come off or broke. Try checking the hoses towards the fire wall under the hood.

My 2003 saab 93 lost engine power and idles very rough?

I don't claim to be an expert but mine did that once and the vacuum hose was off- also, if your exhaust is loose up fromt, the air and fuel mix will not be right and the sensor will detect that and make it run rough- just ideas,
