My van is over heating fan is not coming on

Replace the temp sensor and see if the fan begins to work. If it doesn't then you'll have to replace the fan.

I have this code PO480 on my chevy impala 2001, and its over heating plus the engin light on

Does your fun run when the AC is turned on?. Check your FanCont2" and "FanCont3" fuses in the fuse compartment, if these are open, that will cause the code to pop, if either one burned, replace and reset computer with scanner. However you seem to have an actual issue, possibly with the fan motor, make sure your fan is running, also you could possibly have a semi closed stuck thermostat, remove it, then put it in a metal container with water, put it on the stove to heat up, once the water heats up the thermostat should open all the way, if it doesn't then replace it, either way, by testing it, you rule out that possible issue...
Good luck.

Fan doesn't work inside car of buick 2005

hi judy. when the fan doesn't go round begin by checking the belt. if the belt broke, it may be on the highway somewhere and you never noticed it. With out the fan going, the car will heat up quickly. Get it fixed ASAP,

Car keeps over heating because fan doesn't turn on

Your car has electric fans and they are activated by a switch that is mounted in the bottom of the radiator. What you need to do is verify first that the fan motor is good. After that then you want to "jumper" the switch and see if the fan runs. Jumpering is when you disconnect the wire from the switch and use a piece of wire to connect the wires of the harness together as if the switch was "turned on"..If the fan works then the switch is probably bad, If it doesn't then I would look for the fan "relay"..

My 2003 chrysler 300 m special is over heating. the water level says its got plenty of water. the temperature gauge will drop when i turn the heater on

Coolant in the resevoir doesn't tell you what is in the system,
if you don't have vacuum when the engine cools off.

Do you have coolant flow thru the radiator,is the
thermostat stuck?

Are the fans coming on?

Air/heat not blowing from vents, can feel the heat but it's not blowing, I turn the knobs to high blow and it won't do anything, its cold outside,

if the fan does not increase speed as turned up replace resistor assembly usually in heater housing under dash.if doesn,t nave separate resistor assy.it is the fan switch
