You have to pull your Timing Belt to get to it. While you are at it replace the Timing Belt, Timing Belt Tensioner and Serpentine Belt.

2001 Ford Focus Water Pump

Take it to a repair shop

How do you know the water pump is bad?
It leaks

I assume if you worked on cars ,you would
have the water pump off by now

Telling us a water pump needs to be replaced, is a
statement ,not a question

Timing belt is broke on 2001 ford focus se 8valve. do i need to change the water pump while changing the timing belt?

I would recommend to do it, based simply on the mileage of the vehicle, it is often easier
to do this as you do the timing belt.

This could be the start of a water pump failing. They usually leak small amounts as the seal and bearing begin to fail.
