Most of these switches are loctaed in the trunk in case of an accident. When located dont expect to just press it and it will work. Sometimes you have to depress and hold the switch down for several seconds.

Fuses blown is the most likely. The gauges fuse has a lot on it.

Under vehicle, passenger side, below seating area, near fuel tank, mounted on frame rail in fuel line

Sounds like maybe a fuel problem, check fuel pressure regulator it may be leaking and that is the smell. Pull vacume hose off and look for fuel.

Dropping fuel tank

I am not sure why you are dropping gas tank. Canister purge valve should be located near intake manifold under hood of car. hope this helps

with the key on engine off listen to fuel pump,if you can not hear the pump winning ,the pump is bad

if you can hear it,it might be working but create enough pressure
you can rent a fuel pressure gauge from auto store and check the fuel pressure

I am looking for the fuel reset button on a 93 pontiac firebird. It has a electric fuel pump and I'm trying not to have to replace it thought I could reset it & hope this works???

No reset like on a ford,if the pump fuse is good and there is power to the pump,it's the pump itself.

2002 firebird ran out of gas, put in 2 gallons,won't start. Turns over and fires a little.

Takes a long while to get from tank to engine, and then it can flood out easily. Next time don't run out!

Fuel pump on 2002 pontiac firebird 3.8 v-6?

Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
Relieve the fuel system pressure.
Drain the fuel tank.
Clean the area surrounding the sender assembly to prevent contamination of the fuel system.
Remove or disconnect the following:
- Fuel tank
- Fuel sender-to-fuel tank retaining ring
- Fuel sender from the fuel tank
- Fuel pump from the sending unit Fuel sender/pump assembly component identification

To install:

Install or connect the following: NOTEThe fuel pump strainer must be in a horizontal position and must not block the float arm travel.
- Fuel pump with new strainer onto the sending unit
- New O-ring in the tank opening groove
- New O-ring on the fuel sender feed tube
Fold the strainer over itself and slowly position the sending assembly in the tank so the strainer is not damaged or trapped by the sump walls.
- Retaining ring
- Fuel tank. Torque the bolts to 33 ft. lbs. (45 Nm).
- Fuel filler cap
- Negative battery cable
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position for 2 seconds, OFF for 10 seconds, then back to the ON position. Check for fuel leaks
