From reading your post, I will assume that aside from the flashing light, that the vehicle is running fine? If so, then you need to check your oil level (in case you haven't ) and confirm it is at the full mark. If all is in order then you will need to have the vehicle diag'd either through your dealer (about 94 bucks) or you can have it VAG'd with a cable and software (runs about $230) No way to clear this without either of these two.
