It sounds more like the crank sensor is bad. when crank sensor has failed or is failing, certain timing problems will arise. the engine may start but shut off in a few minutes or seconds of operation. more than likely engine will not start. it controls timing, engine backfire, no spark or pulse at injectors, car will stall when stopped. heres the firing order: 2-4-6 front from left to right
1-3-5 rear left to right hope this helps !! go here for a diagram-- http://autorepair.about.com/library/firing_orders/bl-fo-6417.htm have a very good day !!

Need firing order for 2004 forenza 2.0.also which terminal is #1 on the coil pack

Firing order is 1342 --- Order on the Coil Pack is 4,1,2,3 -- Line the plug wires up in that order starting at one end of the coil pack, if that doesn't work, start at the other end of the coil pack with the same 4,1,2,3 order. Cyl. #1 on the engine is closest to the crankshaft pulley (and all other pulleys) -- Disregard the firing order at this point, it will only add to the confusion. Stick to the 4,1,2,3 order for lining up the plug wires

I cant get the spark plug wires back on the way they came off and it won't start

Your factory motor is the 3800 V-6 for your model. You can get the firing order from your local parts store...(Auto Zone will print this for you for free) then you just need to identify the #1 cylinder spark plug and follow the firing order...if you have a friend with the GM 3800 V-6 (popular GM motor) you can also compare the firing order (plug wires) Hope this helps.

I need to know where the plug wires go.from spark plug to distibuter cap on a 1986 4.1 coupe deville(cad.)

FIRING ORDERS NOTE: To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement. If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes in your book to reflect how your engine is wired. Please show me the position of the #1 spark plug wire on the 95 350's distributor

If you are talking about a 350 Chevrolet (GM) engine, the #1 plug is at the drivers side front. To find the position on the cap, turn the engine 'till the timing mark on the lower pulley points to 0 on the scale, then check rotor position in the distributor. If it's pointing towards the firewall, make one more turn. The firing order goes in the direction the rotor turns when cranking the engine over. 18436572.

Changed distributor cap and now van wont start did not have firing order . we now have correct firing order. van was possibly flooded from checking firing order. now carborator is smoking and engine wont...

I would pull the plugs and let the gas into the cylinders to dry out , you may have a hydrolock engine after putting so much gas into it , recheck the firing order to be sure is OK ususlly when you see a carb backfiring and smoking the firing order is not right
