If you purchased a rebuild kit the diagram should have come with it. Just to let you know, if you are attempting to "repair a power steering pump, you will be ahead to purchased a new or remanufactured pump as this is a difficult repair and requires special tools.

Also if the seals have started leaking this is usually an indication of some sort of mechanical hard part failure.

Save yourself a massive headache and time, spend a few bucks and get a reman. w/warrantee

Go to your local parts Auto Zone and they should be able to print you up one ,,,if not your local Ford dealership will have a parts counter and they will print you one for sure.

You don't want to rebuild the pump. Get one for around $45. Yeah you may have saved $20 by getting the seal kit. But if the fiberglass vanes inside are worn, you just wasted your money. It will do the same thing, whine or hard steering.

I have a 1987 ford f-150 with a 302. I would like to put the 302 into a 1989 ford f-150 that is four wheel drive that currently has a 4.9 in it. would there be any problems with doing this.

302 is a 5.0L v8 engine and 4.9 is a 300ci, 6 cylinder. so you may have problem with transmission, exhaust manifold, motor mounts, vacuum lines/hose, radiator, power steering pump, a/c system, and mostly wirings. not to mention there is a computer in those trucks!

Ppower steering pressure hose 1988

There are only 2 hoses in the power steering system.
High pressure feed, and pressure return. They both connect to the power steering pump.
You can get the hoses from a dealer, or a local auto parts store.
Once you have them in hand, they are very simple to identify.
