Lets start at the beginning. The engine computer grounds the pump relay. The relay gets power from the EFI relay when the key switch is on and from the starter fuse when the key switch is in the start position. Do you know if the pump relay is getting power from both sources and a ground from the computer ? Can you run a hot wire to the blue black wire going to the pump and keep it running ?

Hi I own A 98 Chevy Malibu, my ignition locked n i had to put a new ignition switch in, well now my cars tellin me Something Theft Service. Im wonder what I need to do? Iv unhooked battery for hours ect...

You need to reset the theft system. To do this, try to start it. It should start and die. Then after it dies and the theft light is flashing, leave the key on for 10 minutes. After 10 min, the theft light should go out. After the theft light goes out, turn off the key. Count to 5, then restart it. Then it should work.

Stops running acts like no fuel, gauges don't work starter works will not start, wait 1 min to over night will startr

Two items that need to be looked at. Fuel pump running with the key on after it dies? If it does likely it's ok. Next thing to look at is the crank position sensor. Can give the same symptoms. Never change parts unless you test them first (gets too expensive) Good test procedures are found in both chilton and haynes manuals. I prefer chilton as their wiring diagrams are better. Also...if you have a security system, make sure it's working. Gauges out can either a bad connection to the computer or security system locking system down. (possible ignition switch)

So the truck is siting in I 95? Is the trans fluid level correct? What is the color of the fluid, does it smell burnt and have a burned appearance?

The fluid must be low as it is improbable that burned out alll of the clutches at once or the primary pump completly, Have the trans fluid and filter changed and see what happens.

Has the truck ever stopped running after high speed before? I do not think the two problems should be conncected. When it stopped, did it dies likethe key was shut off or did t just loose more and more power?

Good Luck
