I'm assuming the check engine light is on for no reason. My dad solved this problem very easily: He got a decoder form Ace Hardware (around $15-$20 I think; he told me it wasn't very expensive). He hooked it up to the left interior of his car (driver's side, near the steering wheel area), and it gave him a code, which he then used to consult the manual with. He is a mechanic, so if you aren't one, be careful before you do anything too drastic: you may do more harm than good. GOod luck; I hope I've been helpful.

Replacing key ignition lock

Check your starter switch. That's how mine acted before it went completely. I wouldn't mess with "hotwiring" unless you know exactly what you are doing. Dodges are quirky as it is with their electrical systems.

Did you have the alternator checked before you installed it? the Chryslers have the voltage regulator built into the computer.

Heater on 1993 dodge dynasty

Make sure the hoses aren't plugged up before you start tearing things apart. Also check any fuses or relays. The relays are in the engine compartment on the left side just above the battery. If you pop open that lid on the plain unmarked black box, it will tell you what each relay is for. Hope this helps.
