I have just bough a Coupe year 2000. I can hear the ariel trying to raise but it does not go up! HELP

2000.. DO NOT "mix" years unless you go to the dealer and double check part numbers.. after all..its YOUR LIFE...or your passengers,, or your kids.. or your wife..etc..

John, I'll help if I can. Need more info first. Does the top go down under its own power? Can you hear the hydraulic pump running (whining) when you try to raise the top? Does it move at all and give up or nothing at all? Did the top operate more slowly for awhile before failing to raise at all?

Let me know, and I'll see if I can help narrow down a potential solution.

sounds like a very bad wheel hub assembly(wheel bearing)

sound like you have a broken wire to wind motor that making intermintant contact ck where wires come into door assm

I have a 2004 G35 Coupe that had the same probelm.

I checked some fuses -- all appeared to be OK. Then tried locking and unlocking the driver-side car door several time, using the key and the car fob.

Presto, the window stared working again.

Caution, I believe there is an issue (at least with the coupe) about raising windows while the door is open and then closing the door.

ebay for one, any dealership can order you one and junk yard for 5 bucks. 2000-2006 will work, good luck hope that help

The window regulator has plastic gears inside and these may be stripped. The best solution is to have the window regulator replaced.
