My 93 s10 blazer idles really ruff and i erratically for the first few minutes until it warms up. It now sound like its going to stall every morning I start it up and black soot comes out the tail pipe onto the pavement but only while its idling rough. This happend after i added injector cleaner and gas line antifreeze but 3 fillups later its still spraying the soot. After i changed the cap and rotor it idled good for a couple days then started doing it again.Already changed the fuel filter and pcv valve. whats the problem?

On an older vehicle it would be a choke problem. On this model It may be the idle control
air valve, which essentially controls the same function. You can look it up at rockauto.com
or Jcwhitney.com or others online. hope this helps.

I have a1994 chevy blazer s10 6 cylinder 4.3. My problem is although I let the car warm up for like 10 minutes in the morning when I start to drive and manage to go a few feet the car wants to stall on me,...

sounds like it could be a vacuum leak, check all of your vaccum hoses, by running your hand over them , while engine is running, but stay away from fan area, if the vaccum line has a hole in them or leaking , you should be able to feel it, also , i have sprayed a light mist of wd40 on them, but not too much, don't want it messy. also check the vacuum hose that runs from brake booster to manifold.

1993 S-10 Blazer has erratic idle and stalls

Check the tps "trottle positioning sensor, on mine the idle would not stay steady, and shift so hard that it would sound like it was going to break something. it is located on the drivers side of the throttle body with a push in electrical connector.

O2 Senser maybe...When I first start it up idles high then low

The O2 sensor input is ignored by the system computer (ECM) until the engine is hot, around 160 deg F, what u might have may be fixed by the following procedure, one other note your 1st tune is due at 100,000 miles, have you reached that? if so replace plugs and check plug wires for damage. Here are the most common causes of surges, stalls at stops, low erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation, it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
