Coolant leak

I'm not sure where the water pump is located on the 3.2 but it may be a bad seal in the water pump. If it is the water pump will need to be replaced. You might also check bottom radiator hose, it may be leaking. Also check the thermostat housing for leaks.

Coolant leak

Hose ? The drain valve on the lower radiator ? The water pump has what's called a weep hole built into it. When the water pump fails water weeps out of that little hole to let you know it's bad. I think the ion probably has the water pump onth the front of the engine under the plastic cover ? ( not sure on that ) if it is the water will leak from behind that plastic cover making it look like its coming from the area where the oil pan and that plastic meet. It could get blown around by the cooling fan making it look a lot worse that it is. Check the lower hose and all the other coolant hoses for cracks or leaks as well as the entire radiator area ( sides, top, bottom ) check your rad cap when its cool and be sure the rubber seal on the inside of the cap is good and not cracked or dry rotted. If it is then when the water gets hot and pressure builds in the rad it will leak. When its cold it may not.

My 1995 F250 is leaking radiator fluid under the engine behind the fan

Is antifreeze coming from "weep" hole in bottom of case under shaft nose?
is it coming from the heater hose (small hose coming of side and going into firewall to heater core inside engine compartment?
is it coming from bad gasket between pump and front case?

get a paper towel and dry these areas then start engine. when it starts leaking that will tell you if you need to change the water pump (gasket leak or weep hole shaftseal leak) or if you just need to replace/repair heater hose.

How can i tell if my waterpump is bad? shut the car off and came out later to anti freeze in the driveway

If it's leaking that bad, open the hood take off radiator cap and fill with water (without making a mess and spilling a bunch. Then simply watch for where the leak is at, if it's leaking from a hose, the radiator, or from around the area where the belt is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. If it's leaking from the passenger side around the belt area your water pump is the most common cause. They are made so when the bearing wears out around the shaft the pulley bolts, it has what are called weep holes and the water just runs out to tell you to replace the water pump.

I just got value cover replaced the next day its coming from bottom

i assume you're talking about oil leak, right? and i really hate to assume, but this time i will. you may have a leaking oil pressure sending unit. if it's coming from under the engine, and the valve cover gasket has been replaced recently, if you have'nt hit anything with the car that may have caused damage to your engine,I would look for a bad oil sending unit leaking,or a leaking oil filter,or a leaking oil pan gasket. or a simple oil drain bolt loose. if this does'nt help you, please repost your question to fixya.com

Have oil leak not heavy, but it leaks any answer were it could be coming from..

Valve Covers, Head Gaskets, Oil Pan Seal and a number of other spots. You'll need to clean the motor with Gunk Engine cleaner and then look for the largest build ups of oil and crud to get a better idea where it is.

I have a 04 VW Beetle with a 2.0. Just replaced the thermostat. Now it is leaking coolant badly. I have checked and seems to be comming from the middle of the engine. I have checked both the thermostat and...

If it is not coming out of any hose connection, and it is in the middle front area...it is most likely the water pump. You may be able to get a look at the pump, which is run by the timing belt. The pump mounts behind its rear cover unfortunately. Some water pumps have a small hole that you can check for water leaking out to indicate it is bad. If not, you will have to remove the timing belt rear cover to check the water pump gasket area for water leaks.
A head gasket is not likely unless you find water in your oil.
Good Luck!

The bottom hose goes to the water pump and I would bet your leak is coming from the water pump. The water pump leaking mean it is going bad and needs to be replaced soon. Definitely not as bad as a cracked block.

Car overheated alot of water leaking out the

First find exactly where the water comes from.
broken hose or hole in radiator - if no leaks here then :-
broken / loose drive belt to water pump - sign is no heat to internal heater
thermostat stuck - heats up and overheats quickly. water from exits rad cap area
also check radiator cap - should be sprung to contain water under pressure, usually these are very reliable

check oil filler cap [inside of] - should be oily and grey/black If it has a covering of what looks like soft brown aireated jelly then possibly hear gasket or other internal engine leak between water & oil ways. The excess pressure from engine will force water out of rad cap area . A compression test with variable readings for between cylinders will confirm this. Hope its not this. It's expensive
