I am from the U.S. so you have given me a math problem, if my math is right 210Liters is around 67 gallons of fuel 1300K is around 220 miles so that is about 5 miles to the gallon that is not good.

you do need to have the on-board computer system checked for drivablity codes if you dealer cant do this then find one that can.

i think the premature dark oil and lack of fuel mileage is most likely the same problem, the injection system is over fueling the engine ( now dark oil is normal in a diesel ) but i think this is a little premature, unfortunately there is not much you can do for this problem the toyota fuel system is all electronic and has no adjustments ( not like the old days when we could jack with the pumps ) the on-board computer system can be re-programed ( or flashed as they call it ) and i think this is what you ned to have done, and it can only be done by toyota...sorry

this truck was only rated at 14 miles to the gallon when it was new, so it was never meant to be real efficient anyway, but 5 MPG is way off the mark.....good luck

let me know if there is any thing else i can do for you.

also i forgot to mention the RPM 97kph is around 60mph so the 2200 rpm is abbot 400rpm to high this is because the lock up torque converter is not engaging this could also be a fault of the programing in the on-board computer system, the re-flash could also take care of this as well.

Hi,
Diesel engine oil does go black after 300 - 500 km depending on how the engine is loaded. What I mean by this is how it is driven, however if this seems to happen all the time weather under heavy or light loads then it maybe a case of having to check the following: Check: 1. Air filter is clean and there is no obstructions in the intake side of the engine. 2. You may need to change the fuel supplier you are currently using, as not all fuels are the same and Mobil are currently running a small additive of bio diesel mixture in there pumps at the moment. 3. Have a authorized Toyota dealer check that the injection timing is ok, it only needs to be out by .5 of a degree to make the engine run uneconomically. 4. Have the accelerator cable checked for free play and adjusted if needed.
You can also put an additive into the tank which will clean the injectors, if the injectors have any wax build up on them this will cause the injectors to leak, so instead of a fine mist coming from them you are getting large droplets which will not burn efficiently.
So have these checked out and let me know if you need more information.
Thanks
Jason

I would say by what you have replied that your injectors may need to be checked for correct spray patterns, run the diesel injector cleaner through the system and see how that works. Give it a week to 2 weeks and if problem persist then have the injectors checked.

Service exhaust soon on 2011 2500 hd

There is a tank that is along the frame rail and it hold DEF (diesel Exhaust Fluid) when the tank is almost empty, you get that message to fill it. 5.3 gallons is what it holds and it gets 1300 miles to the gallon.

I disconnected the EGR VALVE and capped the vacuum line thus making my Escort run like new again. It would misfire randomly at 2200 to 2500 RPM`s.

Got a 2004 v6 manual said use 5w40 syn but 5w40 mobil one said it is for diesel trucks. is 5w40 correct?

Well, yes, it is correct. Diesel motors are considered extreme duty - long story short, if it's good enough for a diesel, then its more than good enough for your car. All your lubrication requirements are met and exceeded.

Intermittent hesitation at about 2200 - 2500 RPM , power loss, like a dirty fuel filter - pickup screen, tackometer ticking 100-200 rpm at a steady speed. Truck has a manual trans.

sounds like a bad fuel pump or fualty aftermarket pump/also i would check the fuel pressure regulator, and for any fuel leaks. if you disconect vacuum line from regulator and check to make sure fuel is not coming out of regulator and vacuum line is good if engine stays running most likely the fuel pump.

Does it do it while cold? I mean, the first 2 to 5 minutes of running your car after it sitting for a day? If it only does it while warmed up, i am having the same issue.
