Question about 2001 Nissan Altima

97 nissan altima a/c problem

While a/c is running I noticed that compressor cycles on and off about every 15 seconds. Also engine cooling fan cycles on and off with comp. after about 15 minutes comp stops ingaging and then it blow hot air. I noticed this the other night while it was 85 degrees out and very humid. I live in arizona. (HOT) Other words when i was driving it the a/c blows cold for about 10 to 15 minutes then turn to hot. I have charged a/c before like we talked about to .75Kgs per sticker under hood. I guess could it below on freon, due to comp cycling so much. otherwords this is all i found out at this time on the a/c issue.

Nissan Altima 2002 Nissan Altima Takes long for heat to come out

You might try bleeding air out of cooling system. Elevate front of car on ramps and leave running. Remove radiator cap before engine gets hot. When engine starts to heat up, air bubbles may come out of top of radiator. Add coolant slowly as level drops. It may take a long time for car to warm up (15-20 minutes)

After turning off the engine of my altima SE 1999 (103,000 miles) the radiators fans continue to run for almost 1-2 mins. (this is after driving 6-10 miles) I do not know if this is normal, but it worries...

A lot of cars have the fans running after the fact, they just cool down the temp a little, have you checked your coolant lately? Keep an eye on the temp gage on the dash, make sure it doesn't go very far, It should be very constant when running.

The fan on my nissan altima 01 always comes on after I shut my car off... my buddy just replaced the radiator and now the fan does not turn on after i turn the car off??? what should I do??

Hello, that is normal for the cooling fans to run after the engine has been shut off, its still bringing the cooling system to normal. If the fans run continuously, check the fan relay fuse.

My 97 nissan altima is occasionally stalling out when I come to a stop. When this does happen it acts as if the engine is starving for fuel as I start it and for 10 or 15 minutes afterwards - it studders...

This happened to my 1997 Altima GXE a couple years ago. The coolant sensor is bad ($30-40 part). The coolant sensor is reading that the temp is cool on a warmed up engine and actually causes the engine to run rich (thinking it is a cold engine). The problem is intermittant and happened at the worse times.

2000 Altima - when fan starts (to cool engine

Might be the fan bearings are going bad and letting the fan wobble abit on start up. Check for cracked fan blade, or loose.
