1 Answer

If you look on Napa.Com,it shows $104.00 ea

for the front ones (closest to engine)

I wouldn't pay someone to do that

It is a 10 minute job and $104 is expensive
for an O2 Sensor or two ,if you have two

Wiring diagram on o2 sensor 2001 impala

Use the right O2 do not use a generic and always replace both sensors if it has a V6. If you don't do the above you will likely get another error code I know this from years of experience on this type of job.

I just replaced my o2 senser on my 2001 a4 1.8

you have a O2 sensor problem. You say you replaced the o2 sensor, the one in the front , before the converter? thats bank 1 sensor 1 ...I would not think a O2 would cause misfires????

I am getting a P0031, P1512, & P0421 code

P0031 - most likely pointing to a failed O2 sensor (bank 1 sensor 1 is located before the catalytic converter)

P0421 - failed catalytic converter or a failed O2 sensor

P1512 - intake manifold shutter valve is stuck - may be caused by the O2 sensor, but may not

I recommend replacing your O2 sensor first and see what happens
