Question about 2003 Suzuki Aerio
I am assuming this is a four cylinder engine If so, I would also assume it has a oxygen sensor before the catalytic converter, (upstream) and one behind, (downstream). These sensors send a signal to the engine computer giving an emissions reading level before, and after leaving the catalytic converter. My best guess is the o2 sensors may be functioning normally but, the converter is no longer performing as it should, hence the, (catalyst efficiency below threshold). However, I would not rule out malfunctioning o2 sensors as well.
