Air cond. just stopped today. Wife mad. PLS HELP

So the air cond. compressor does not go on. What could the problem be? Fuse? It worked great, nice and cold...now nothing. What do these Rendezvous's have in common regarding this? Did I mention my wife is mad?

Thanks alot.

Gerald.

Most likely it is a crack in the condenser. The passenger side mount cracks due to weld at to high of a temperature. So it is destined to fail at some point. You can find this by installing a couple of shots of dye and adding enough r-134a to engage the compressor. With a black light you can see the drips near the passenger side front wheel.

Buick will not fix this even though this is a $1000 repair at the dealer. The replacement condenser uses rivets instead of welds to prevent this problem.

It may be low on freon, blown compressor fuse ,low pressure switch gone bad.start by checking fuses, then check freon,if not low, low pressure switch, should be attached to dryer, unplug short wires with paper clip.if copressor comes on,its the switch.

Inspect the fuse panel located in the side of the dash that is accessible when you open the door. I think that it is a 25 amp fuse but am not familiar with the G6

Ac fuse blowing, in 1996 isuzu rodeo

Disconnect wire to Air Conditioning Compressor and connect normal test light to wire, from engine harness(body)side. Fit new fuse and try air cond controls and switch, test light should light up and hopefully fuse wont blow indicating short in compressor clutch windings(replace compressor). If fuse blows while doing this test compressor might be ok and fault short some where else, fan speed resistor block, fan or control/switches, wiring.

Air cond has been working great ice cold today I turned it on and it won,t start checked 3 fuses all good what else do I check Dale

on the pass. side under the hood you will find the accumulator, a silver cylinder with a connector (2 wires) ,disconnect the plug and install a bent paper clip, do not let it touch metal, this is the low pressure switch, if the compressor fires and you are sure you are not low on freon, order a new low pressure switch, it just unscrews from the fitting.

Air cond dash light works, compressor doesn't go on.

AC's have a low freon switch that shuts off the system to protect the compressor in the advent that you have a freon leak have the system checked for a leak

Ac is blowing warm air in my 2005 sierra 2500hd duramax. Any idea

Your system has R-134 Freon in it. the 134 is made up of smaller molecules than the old R-12. The R -134 permeates through the rubber parts of the system. If the system gets too low on Freon, the compressor will stop coming on.(low pressure cut out switch). Have the system serviced with an A.C. machine that can vacuum, measure the amount of Freon in the system, and add the right amount. The machine can also inject die. Later the die will show up under a black light. This will show any leaks you may have.

BMW 318i 1999 model, air con not working

hi

I had this problem before. There could be several reason.

1-Your air conditionner filter could be soo old and dirty, that you don"t get that good air condition.

2-Your air cond compressor could be giving low pression and so, no cool air.

3- You could be having a leak somewhere and so you're loosing gaz after it's filled.

4- Check also the fuse box. Seee if the AC fuse is not burnt.

thanx and don't hesitate to come back to me

Air conditioning

You should check and make sure both the fuses aren't blown and the wires aren't showing serious signs of wear. I would be careful running bare wires from the battery to components, too. Today's cars have a lot of sensitive equipment in them that can be damaged.
Obviously it is not the A/C system itself, since you got it to run, which leads me to believe its something in the fuse box or in the wires. Sometimes there are a couple of different fuse boxes (one near the dashboard, and another under the hood somewhere). Also, some of the wires could be hard to check. I would use a multimeter if you have one, or borrow one from a friend (make sure you read the manual first). Use it to check and make sure the voltage is getting to the A/C compressor through the wire. Let me know what you find.
