Question about 2007 Chevrolet Equinox LS New Cars
You can get on google and put 2007 EQUINOX CODE P00xx, P00yy and it should give you some info. Some topic may be to explain your code and some may be other people and what they did to fix it. Need to let you know a code does not have the same fix all the time. The code may indicate fuel system. It could be a fuse, relay, injectors, fuel pump or wiring. I like to look at what other people have done to fix the problem and start with the cheep fix. If you know your car is 2.0L engine you can put 2.0L in the search. Some codes are more specific to a specific part and others may have a few separate parts you have to look at.

the engine light is a generic fault indicator in your car to point out something is not quite right with the engine, having a loss of power as well is also known in some areas as Limp Mode or Safety Mode. it means the car is restricting the power it gives to ensure no damage it done to the engine.
the only certain way to find out what is wrong is to take it to a garage that has diagnostics equipment that can read the fault codes from the vechicles ECU (the fault codes will be the reason the light on the dash has come on as its reporting a fault somewhere)..
your mechanic should be able to tell you what is wrong with the engine from that and give you a more accurate cost at fixing it.

YOu need to take it to a shop immediately the stabilitrax and the abs indicators has to do with your car being stabilized and the abs has something to do with your brakes. Hope this helps!?

SOURCE: 2007 Equinox. No power steering,
Had same problem, went to work everything was fine, then got in vehicle getting ready for lunch......no power steering and service stabilitrak light came on. End result was power steering motor needed replaced. Motor controls the power to the rear wheels along with the power steering.

If you get an ABS (anti lock brake system) light on as well, you probably have a bad front wheel bearing (the ABS wheel speed sensor is built-in). Check the harnesses going to the sensors first, they may be damaged from turning. If no ABS light accompanying the Stabilitrak message, then you will need to get it scanned for a diagnostic code to further evaluate.
