Sometimes they do break. Make sure you replace the springs as a pair.

2000 Pontiac Montana gas gauge stays on full and doesn't move the only time I've seen it moved was when the front of the van was jacked up what could be the problem?

Probably a bad sending unit in the tank,or maybe a broken tank baffle.(Either way, you're looking at taking out the tank to find out.

I have a 2000 Montana, Pontiac and I want to replace the heater hose but I can't get to it from the front. What can I do? Thanks, Jim

Take the air filter hose and cover off, then remove the coil pack, there are two bolts in front that takes a 10mm socket and then two more bolts on the back side down by the exhaust manifold, they take a 13mm socket, short extension and ratchet to get to. Mark the front three spark plug wires and remove them, remove the electrical connectors from the coil pack and then you can lift it up and lay it dowm on the exhaust manifold, this will give you access from there also. Remove the clamps, and then just cut the hoses off or you'll be there all day tryin to get them loose. Besides you were going to replace them anyway. Becareful of the Tee's, they usually get rotten and don't take much to break them.

Changing sparks plugs in a 2000 pontiac montana

remove the ignition coil pack ( 2 10mm bolts on front of it and 2 13 mm nuts on the back side) u will need a long extension and deep socket for the back ones , and unplug all electrical connectors and remove it from the vehicle and you should be able to reach the back plugs without a problem.
