Question about Jeep Wrangler

1 Answer

I have a 2010 Jeep Rubicon. It has never given me any problems or signs that anything is wrong. However, today it suddenly started acting up. I started the engine, and it died seconds after. I started it a second time, and I got the same result. Third time - started like nothing was wrong. Help. Is it the starter?

My 2004 Jeep Rubicon won't start when the engine is hot.

There is a difference between no start and no crank.
No crank would point to the battery and starter.
No start would be involving the ignition and fuel systems.
No start could be a relay, ignition module, coil, fuel pump. or a list of other things.

The small storage compartment in the back of my 2007 2-door jeep wrangler Rubicon is wet, soaked with water. Where is it coming from?

If your Jeep has a soft top -

I have a 2007 Unlimited and has the same problem. My Jeep is a soft top and the water came from the rain and a poor seal of the back window. Part of the problem came from the displacement of the plastic "c" shaped "rear window bar holder" that clips on to the rear on either side of rear window. Ocasionally the clip pops out of place and breaks the seal between the rubber on the window and the rear sides of the Jeep.

Good battery, turn key doesnt do anything. Jeep

If its a stick you may have a problem with the clutch safety switch. They don't want you starting the jeep without the clutch in. If the safety switch has failed it may think the clutch is still released. Also make sure the battery terminals are clean. If your lights don't shine bright you need to start looking for a connection issue to the battery if you know the battery is good.

If it is still under warranty take it to the dealer. You could have at a minimum have thrown the weights off the tires. But anything like tie rod ends or belts in the tires could be bad.

2004 Jeep Rubicon lockers dont work when warm. in

sounds to me that you may be having air pump issues, or your having rocker switch issues, I would lean toward the pumps though, just replaced mine in my 03 rubicon and problem solved, also insect the vacuum hoses going to each locker, make sure they dont have any holes/ cracks
