How do I get the CD player OPTION turned on in my 1998 VolvoS90 ?

I would call the local Volvo Dealer and ask him. It's worth a try. An Auto Dealer who is not friendly and helpful will not sell many cars.

Cd error code e1

Hi there:
The E1 error code means the CD is upside down, dirty, or the wrong data format (CD-DA)

If you have tried several other disks and are having the same error message you can try to clean the optics with compressed air in a can like dust-off. If that does not resolve the problem you will have to contact an authorized service center for repair.

Hope helps.

I have the same exact problem, er 02

Try cleaning the CD with a CD cleaner that you can buy at any electronic store like Radio Shack. The CD lens may be dirty and is having a hard time reading the CD. Good luck and hope this helps, and yes your going to have to send the CD player out to have a aux jack installed. Look for any electronic repair shop to add the aux jack, good luck and hope this helps.

If your radio is like mine, an er-1 display usually indicates that the radio is just too cold. I live in a cold climate, and mine would do that almost every day during the winter. If it's cold where you live, try letting the temperature in the car warm up. If that doesn't help, I would call the manufacturer to find out what it could be. It's also sometimes listed in the manual.

2003 suxuki aerio sx CD player

The clarion 6 disk changers Suzuki used to use are notorious for doing that, mines starting to get flakey also. The others people are right there is nothing you can do to fix it. In fact I’ve heard horror stories about the dealers destroying customers CD’s trying to get them out. That’s probably why Suzuki got away from using clarion changers. If you don’t care about the CD’s that are stuck in the unit then pitch it in the trash and buy one of the Suzuki single disk mp3 players off eBay. Otherwise find a good electronics repair place and cross your fingers!

Error code er 2

I dont want to guess a solution for this however, ERR2 represents EJECT. The description of this error is "The Eject is not available". Possibilities are, jammed mechanism or sticky eject button.

I have 2003 acura2.3 tl and have this problem with my cd player.it stops working and erre1 i belive shows up on the screen.

ER-E1.  It's broken.  You need to take it to the dealer and have them ship it out to fix it or take it out yourself and take it to a radio repair shop.

AUDIO FAULT CODE
If you see any error indication in the display while using the CD or Tape mode, find the cause in the chart below. If you cannot clear the error indication,
take the car to your Hyundai dealer.

Getting E-1 error message for radio

Well I had a 1990 Xj6 with an aftermarket cd-changer in the trunk and it didn't work, so when I took it to an audio specialist he said that it needed to be replaced. But what he did say is that most manufactures use the same connection cables for their products, ex. Sony plugs will work on all Sony cd-changers. I now have a 1994 Jaguar XJ6 and I have the same error code. I know that Jaguar installed Alpine CHM-S620 cd-changers. So in theroy you could go to an audio store and get the same cd-changer and it should have the same plugs so you wont need to rewire anything. I havent done it yet because I just bought the 1994.
