Check for these:

  • Bad spark plug wire;
  • Bad or dirty contact in distributor or multi-coil terminal (you may also have a loose plug wire here);
  • Fuel injector clogged or not operating reliably.

    You do have the Inline 6 right? We don't have spark plug wires. There ARE coil wires which are about 18guage on top of each cylinder. Is this what you changed? Did you try swapping coils to see if it was a bad coil?

Cylinder #1 continues to Misfire

What DTC code(s) are you getting?
You performed a compression test on cylinder #1; did you test cylinder #2?
Compare the readings, if there is a significant difference in compression readings between the two, you may have a bad head gasket, a bad valve, etc.
The bottom line, the problem is internal to the engine.

Misfire #2 cylinder

The code actually means the cylinder is not producing any power.
Could be the plug, injector, coil, or crank sensor. Or a mechanical problem such as a stuck valve.

Replaced 2 coil packs and still running rough 2003 trailblazer

try replacing or cleaning the injectors
when misfiring moves around it is seldom the coils , plugs and any thing else connected to spark but dirty fuel, low fuel pressure and dirty injectors or injector control
use a quality injector cleaner for a few tankfills

Cose p0306

Code p0306 means that cylinder six is misfiring. Take it to a mechanic or try to fix it yourself. Change spark plug, plug wires, solenoid.

My 2002 chevy trailblazer won't go over 3500 rpm it idle rough when in gear with brakes applied

fuel mix? new fuel filter? throttle body injection? gasket to it OK? (there have been issues). cheaper grade spark plugs? just listing most common causes of rough idle complaint. also try manually cleaning throttle plate and tweaking up throttle angle screw (aka minimum air rate adjustment)

I have a 2002 TrailBlazer with the straight 6,diognostic check said #3 cylinder was dead or misfiring, also map sensor showed up. #3 cylinder was misfiring, so to test the coil pack I swapped #3 coil pack...

did you replace only one spark plug? that can cause issues because of differences in resistances between cylinders. also, did the map code stay off after replacing
?
