Alternator bolt sides stripped on 2001 Mercury Cougar V6

I see that your question has been unanswered for awhile. I will try to help. One thing at a time. For stripped threads, I am assuming that you may be describing the housing of the Alternator being stripped. This may be Salvageable by changing to a slightly longer bolt and using a nut on the other side of the case when the bolt pokes through. Or a device called a Helicoil can be inserted into a redrilled hole and it will accept a new threaded bolt.
Next, If you are describing a rounded off nut there are several ways to fix this. Sears has a wrench set that is suppose to grip many styles of nuts with one wrench. And sometimes a Metric will work when Standard wrenches are between sizes even when they have the special Sears wrench.
Thinking outside the box. On some occasions I have resized a nut using a Dremmel grinding attachment. Either reducing the 6 surfaces to the next lower size or changing to a flat 2 or 4 sided nut, as long as you can grip it, it really does not matter as long as you can remove it.
Sometimes a socket or wrench can be pounded on to temporarily grip and remove the part. Some people even grind the nut off.
Hope this gives you some ideas.

How do i change belt on mitubishi mirage 98

( BEFORE ADJUSTING THE ALTERNATOR BELT DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE OR YOU MIGHT BLOW AN EXPENSIVE HIDDEN FUSE)to change the alternator belt, you have to loosen the lower mount bolt on the alternator, loosen block shaped bolt that the long adjuster bolt goes through, and loosen the belt by turning the long adjuster bolt, take off the belt. to adjust the power steering belt, there is a long adjuster bolt that moves a tensioner pulley, first you have to loosen the nut that holds the pulley in place , now the pulley can be moved with the adjuster bolt.

My 1983 S-10 has a rochester 2SE mounted to a 2.0 4 cyl. that shakes (moves) when touched what is the fix?

If you mean that the carb moves when you touch it then it needs to be tightened. There are 4 bolts holding it down. At the rear of the carb there should be 2 nuts near the bottom base plat and the front should have 2 bolts going down through the whole carb. I forget the exact size but I think they are 1/2 inch. Hope this helps.

Front motor mount on 1993 camry 4 cylinder

The mount is probably bad anyhow. so get it out however you need to, you can always cut the nut or bolt off and the new mount will have a new stud. so you will only need a nut.

I have a 1998 4 litre v6 that i want to put in a 1995 3.8 litre v6 mustang, will the transmission bolt pattern line up?

No, the transmission will not bolt up. Also the engine will sit too far forward because the holes are different in the k-member.

How do i adjust the handbrake on my mx3 its the 1.8 v6 with rear disc brakes

theres only two places a adjustment would be the easest way is to lift your handbrake three clicks either under the handle you will see a nut on a threaded bolt turn the nut in until the slack makes tighten hard dont over tighten push button drop handle back down now if the adjustment nut is not under the handle under the car you will see your rear cables going into a single cable all three joined by a adjustment bolt with nut hold with pliers three clicks up on handle turn nut in till slack is gone drop handle back down
