No

Your best to have a transmission shop do the job

The sub frame is loosened on one side only
and swung around enough to get transaxle out

You will need to remove the axles and the subframe to get the transmission out.you will need to support the engine also so it does not fall when the subframe is removed.

How do you go about removing the 3.5 V6 engine from a 2001 Olds Aurora?

Gotta disconnect everything, put it on a lift, get a heavy duty cart, lower the subframe onto the cart, disconnect the subframe.

Or remove the hood, disconnect everything, hook up a cherry picker with a balancer, remove the transmission mounts, lift it out.

Can I change the shift solenoid 1-2 (code P0753) 1997 Buick Century. Where is it located?

The shift solinoids are mounted to the valve body which is behind the side cover of the transmission. Usually you have to lower the trans to remove the side cover, which envolves lowering the subframe. If you drop the subframe the steering rack must be disconnected and the engine must be held from above because most of the motor/trans mounts are on the subframe

How to remove transmision

www.hmaservice.com

you can register for free and access the shop manual for your car there. The procedure to do this is quite lengthy and will require your car to be aligned if you remove the subframe from the vehicle. If it's a manual transmission, and you have a lift, you don't need to remove the subframe, you should be able to take it out by simply turning it the correct way. The manual tranny is light. If it's an automatic, you can go either way but it's easier to remove the subframe in my opinion. The automatic is much heavier.

How to install transmission solenoid in a 2001 pontiac bonneville 2.8

The solenoids are under the side pan on the transmission on the drivers side. You will have to go through the drivers side fender well. Remove the wheel, brake caliper, spindle, take the rack and pinion loose, install engine support, place jack under left side (drivers side) of subframe, remove subframe mounting bolts, loosen (do not remove) right side subframe mounting bolts, lower left side of subframe 4 to 6 inchs, go to engine support and lower engine and transmission down just enough so that transmission side pan can be removed. Thanks and good luck with your repairs.

How do i remove the transmission in my 95 geo prizm

This requires a boom which is a mounting brace which that holds the engine in place (from the top) as you drop the lower subframe in order to remove the transmission. Once the boom is in place and hooked to the engine, lift and remove wheels, exhaust, lower control arm, axles, subframe and finally the transmission. .

How to replace the electric shift solinode

the solenoid i think your looking for is inside the side cover of the transmission but you werent specific with which solenoid your looking for, there are a few solenoids in the transmission. its not a job for beginners and its difficult to get to on floor jacks. i will try to explain the process as i've done it before.

READ WHOLE THING FIRST BEFORE ATTEMPTING REPAIR

1. safely jack the front of the vehicle up and place on jack stands
(make sure parking brake is on) and disconnect negative battery
cable.
2. remove wheel on drivers side
3. remove caliper, bracket, and rotor
4. remove axle nut
5. unbolt tie rod end
6. unbolt lower ball joint
7. unbolt sway bar end link and remove axle
8. support engine with jack and a piece of wood
9. unbolt air pump and transmission mount
10. unbolt subframe on drivers side carefully
11. LOOSEN do not remove subframe bolts on passenger side
so the subframe drops a little bit on the drivers side
12. look on top of the engine bay and remove air box and tubes
13. remove or move anything else in the way of the top side cover
bolts
14. disconnect transmission connector
15. remove transmission side cover bolts (you may need to loosen
passenger side subframe bolts a little more to gain access to
the lower 3 or 4 bolts, also fluid will come out so have a catch
pan ready)
16. remove side cover carefully (might have to loosen the subframe
bolts a little more even to get the cover out)
17. locate the solenoid you are replacing (there are a few diff ones)
18. remove solenoid and replace solenoid.
19. make sure to replace the side cover gasket and the seal around
the axle hole
20. reverse the process for re-installation.

before you attempt this repair make sure for certain that the solenoid you are looking for is in fact located inside the side cover. the instructions i typed are for solenoid replacement in the transmission but you didn't specify which one so don't hold me responsible if these directions arent for the solenoid your looking for.
