SOURCE: removal of inside rear view mirror

glass shops do it all the time.call a windshield repair place and ask how they do it...either heat or a chemical that dissolves the adhesive, which is a special glue.

How to remove rear transmission mount

place a jack under the transmission and after undoing the bolts/nuts from the mount ( extension housing and cross member ) lift the transmission enough to remove the mount. If that is not possible then remove the cross member and then remove the mount.

I have a Volvo XC 90 2004 and the upper engine mount needs to be replaced as it is broken please help. Thanks Bob

Remove the two bolts that hold the cross bar on each strut tower. 4 in total. Remove the bolt that goes through the mount you will need to hold the nut or bolt while turning the other. Put the cross bar aside and unbolt the mount. Remove and replace and reinstall the cross bar.

Oil filter mount is stripped

hi John, here in New Zealand we can buy repair threads for this type
of problem. You should find them in your local auto parts store.
Failing that a good engineer should be able to run one up on a
lathe in no time at all.
happy new year

The radio on my 2004 Tiburon gets only static on every station, however the CD player works perfectly fine. Solutions?

if it has a built into the window antenna, install a real one on the fender. if it has an antenna which retracts and extends automatically, replace it with a real one. if it has a good antenna, make sure it is actually plugged into the back of the radio.

Need to know how to fix a cross threaded spark plug on 2001 chevrolet s-10

you'll have to remove the head, and use a threaded insert kit for spark plugs to cut new threads, and put a threaded insert in for the new threads. These aren't extremely expensive, but you still need to remove the head so you don't get aluminum shavings in the cylinder.

How do you put the ariel down on a 2004 Ford Mustang

The antenna on this vechicle is a fixed mount and does not retract. You can remove the antenna by unscrewing it at it's base. They make aftermarket antennas that are shorter, but you give up reception.

Is there an easy fix to screw in antenna snapped of in mount

You can drill out the snapped-off screw and re-tap the hole. Then just put in a new (and slightly larger) screw. You will probably need a larger screw if you drill it out past the existing threaded hole. If you're lucky, you can sometimes just push a screwdriver against the edge of the screw and rotate the screw out that way until you can grip it with pliers and unscrew it. Then just put in a new screw.

Changing the headlights

This picture shows the rear side of the headlamp assembly. I've circled the access caps to the high & low beam bulbs (they just twist off (counter-clockwise) to access the bulbs. Depending on which engine is in your Tiburon, access is easier if you remove three 10mm mounting bolts to the headlamp assemblies and remove the entire headlamp assemblies (see illustration)
c173c7f.jpg You'll want to disconnect these two connectors .. then remember to reconnect them when you put the assemblies back on.

Hope this helps
