If your truck starts with a jump, you need a new battery. Your battery may show a full charge, but it may have a dead cell, or worse. Replace the battery and you should be alright. While you are at the Auto Parts store you should get the code scanned and report back what the code is.

Hey there Ive had my 04 gmc yukon since new my first vehicle and most reliable until now and serviced it regularly recently it likes to play dead my doors wont unlock when i do get inside and try to s

Sounds like the battery is weak or the charging system has a problem...take it to an AutoZone or a WalMart Auto Service, they'll check it and tell you whether it's one or both for free...or, you can jump start it, and after it has been running for 5 minutes, unhook the battery ground cable...if it quits, you have a charging system problem, if not, the battery's bad...

I have 03 GMC Yukon. It began not starting sometimes. I was told it was the fuel pump (but i hear it whinning when i put the ignition to the on position). Then it began starting when i turned the ignition...

sounds like fuelpump check valve or regulator not holding residual pressure you need to check if fuel pressure is holding with engine off approx. 40 psi

Gave a jump start and now headlights don't work on a 2005 yukon denali

sound like battery has weak or battery terminals and post need cleaning. have battery charged and checked, if battery good. alternator not charging battery. if battery over 5 years old more likely battery is bad.if battery too weak head lights wont turn on battery dead this time of year if battery old. cold weather will finish it out.

2005 gmc yukon wont start

try jumping if it jumps or you get power from a jump its your battery it can die over night this is common runs good one day then will not do it the next i would start there first if it turns over after a jump that is your problem.Replace the battery most batteries only last up to 18months

My 1999 gmc yukon wont start code say p0336 just rotates

p0336 means CKP sensor performance error. Replace the crankshaft position sensor. If that doesn't fix the issue there is a number of GM factory service bulletins that point at a manufacturing problem with Yukon engine. Find the appropriate service bulletin for your engine in this page.

We have a 2008 yukon. We will get out of the car and get back in it and it wont start.usually we can jump start it but this time it wont even jump, all the electrical is dead, and will flash on from time...

This is not true I have many customer that have the same problems Yukon and sierra has this problem the battery will show 12 then 14 there are 2 pin and 4 pin connection The main problem that I have seen lately is the terminal spreads and does not make good connection. To begin with the alternator is ECM controlled. Ask them these questions and have them put in writting what they found and I am sure they will nail it on the head, this is the process I used to find the problem . 1. the minimum resistance to case and engine block. 2. what is the vltage at the " I" terminal 3. Pin 4 and 5 at the DLC diagnostic connection the voltage drop measurement .The voltage drop at DLC must be no more than .02vlts this is the way you can help them find the charging problem.

I was cleaning out my truck for about 1hr and my truck went dead...Will i have to jumpstart my truck or will the battery charge up enough to start back after so long?

hi, once the battery has gone flat your going to need to use jump leads and start the car that way, the battery wont pick up enough on its own to start the car so your going to need to get it jumped started.
