The relay for the radiator fan is inside a controller which is in the engine compartment. You can check online auto parts stores to get a picture of the controller. It runs around $150.
yes you need to remove the belt completely then remove the center bolt in the pulley becarefull removing the bolt it could reverse thead (instead of left to loosen its right to loosen) if it is the tensioner pulley its more then likely reverse thread , if its just the ildler pulley its normal.
draw a diagram first of how it goes around the pulleys.make sure its accurate, and each pulley is named,ie aircon,geni,p/steer/crank/,then usually just need to detension belt by backing off the belt tensioner[use good size spanner or fixed socket on bar]slip belt off.the tensioner usually just springs back, fit new belt reverse way, check against diagram before starting
remove the serpentine belt by taking the tension off of the tensioner pulley. do this with a serpentine belt tool. you could also use a 3/4 drive ratchet or 3/4 breaker bar. insert the 3/4 drive into the square drive hole. while facing the front, angle the ratchet as far to the left as possible. remove tension by pulling to the right, remove the belt from the alternator.(note) if there is no diagram of belt routing, make one yourself to facilitate installation. remove the connectors from the alternator, remove 3 bolts, remove the output cable. check the other pulleys for wobble. the tensioner should be replaced, especially if the arm doesn't move smoothly through the length of travel
get a used transmission from a wrecking yard and just replace the whole thing.
a transmission kit means you need to open the transmission up. this has hundrends of moving parts, do you realy know how to overhaul it?
Unless it's a 4.6 liter V8, it's on the passenger side about 2 feet towards the rear of the front tire with a metal guard over it on the frame, two bolts, just did mine.
