Whats causing the issues with my transmission? A750E transmission, 2006 toyota tacoma prerunner

code p 2714 refers to transmission fluid pressure (TFP) solenoid D-performance problem or solenoid stuck off===causes --wiring---TFP solenoid--transmission mechanical fault
with the shifting of the gears manually , that rules out a mechanical problem
question now --did you replace the correct solenoid
did you check for faulty wires at harness connections or at the box
I would talk with an accredited auto transmission shop to identify solenoid D on your transmission and to see if there are any problems that occur on a regular basis in that area of the transmission ( wire insulation breaking down in the auto oil , problem solenoids etc

When moving auto gear shift from drive to reverse, it locks in neutral. By pumping brake for some time, it will eventually release. Whats the problem?

It may be your brake switch on the brake pedal. Back up to a wall and apply the brake. Look behind you at the wall while doing this to see the reflection of your brake lights. If they do not come on when you apply the brake every time, then it is almost certainly your brake switch. Usually very easy and inexpensive to fix on most cars. I hope this helps.

How come my clutch wont let me put it in first gear?

If the transmission "grinds" or just simply can't be pulled into gear when you try and place it in 1st gear then the clutch most likely isn't releasing far enough to allow the transmission to completely stop turning and the gears will clash or not go in as you try to place it in gear [when the engine is running that is] If this is the case however it should shift easily in and out of gear if the engine is off. Often the same clashing will also occur when trying to shift into reverse. There's usually three possible causes. The clutch master cylinder could be low on fluid or leaking pressure internally, the slave cylinder could be seeping fluid or have air in it or the line leading between it and the master cylinder, or there could be an problem with the clutch disc or pressure plate. I see all three problems on a pretty regular basis so you may need to have it checked out at a service facility to know for certain what is causing the problem. Good luck, hope this helps you out.

Nissan is telling me that the problem I have explained to them is called "shift shock." Ever heard of it? between 1st and 2nd gear at 20mph while lugging, it will knock very hard into gear. Rough stuff! ...

I have a 2006 Nissan frontier and have never had that happen. It does have the ability to lock the gear while on a downgrade. When I go down a hill and I hit the brake the transmission will lock the gear until I hit the gas...but it only does it downhill and I told about the feature when I purchased the truck. Maybe what is happening is the hill control activating. What you are describing..It does not sound right. I would take it to another dealer for a second opinion. How does the transmission fluid look and have you done a transmission service on a regular basis?

1998 F150 Reg Cab 4x4 won't shift to 3rd.

If there is a problem with the 3-4 solenoid then a check engine light would be on or the OD light would be flashing. Read the faultcodes and see what is there.

You probably need to have linkages at transmission lubricated. There is one that controls throttle valve which tends to seize up on a regular basis. When it starts to seize, you will notice it staying in lower gear longer before it shifts up, and sometimes it will shift down hard when slowing down to stop.
