Question about 1994 Pontiac Bonneville
Occasionally while im driving, i will try to put down the back power windows (one doesn't work) and the engine will sputter or die. After it dies, it wont start for an hour or 2 but i have got it to start by giving it gas also i couldnt get the windows to go up if it does die.
i also have replaced the fuel pump and that wasnt the problem
Is there any white smoke coming out the exhaust? Sounds like the same problem my friend had when he warped his head on his 91 civic. Any overheating at all? Otherwise another guess would be maybe a bad catalitic converter that clogged up. Hope this helps any, good luck

Probably need the computer reset. All these cars now days are set up for the dealer to screw you. The fix yourself is about history

CHECK THE FUEL FILTER FIRST.IF THE FILTER IS PLUGGED U CAN HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.IF THAT DOES NOT FIX IT U NEED TO CHECK THE FUEL PRESSURE.THERE IS A FUEL PRESSURE TEST PORT ON THE FUEL INJECTION RAIL(TOP OF THE ENGINE)THE PRESSURE SHOULD BE 40-47PSI.KEY ON ENGINE OFF.
