Best way is to get the haynes or chiltons manual for this year engine and find if it is vacuum or electrical driven speedometer, etc.,. alternatively you may be able to contact the dealer parts dept or the factory customer service and they could even print out schemata with the details you need.
Not sure on the conversion bax.,. most vehicles operate the speedometer out of the transmission..
Best regards

2002 chevy s10 temperature gauge jumping around, feels like automatic transmission slipping at speeds above 60 mph

Do you have an OBDII scanner to check the real temperature? Want to make sure it's not overheating. If it's normal, could be your temperature sensor starting to go out, or ignition switch. Any check engine lights? If so, get the code for me, can go from there. At a constant speed, you sure it wasn't a misfire instead? Check your trans fluid, make sure it's full. I was just in Tahoe, pretty sad not much snow at all.

07 Chevy Silverado The motor caution light came on then came on the ABS light. seems like it's in third gear I hooked up the Solis I am getting three trouble codes one under the engine one under tran

Try checking the abs madule, that could be causing all the problems, such as the trans code and engine code. Also check the grounds cable maybe rusty or lose. I had a Chevy Tahoe and it was almost the same problems and it turn out to be the abs madule. Hope this helps good luck.

The fuse that controls all my gauges in my 1994 Chevy s10 keeps blowing... i just had a new trans put in and then it started this. any suggestions

I suggest to check wiriing and harnesses connections. Also grounds. Some electrical short or broke wires could be causing this issue.

Headlights won't work Chevy K-10 Pickup

With electrical problems I always look for a bad ground wire, especially on older vehicles. Look for any wire that goes to an inner fender or the engine, there maybe a faulty relay in the circuit too. good luck, Chuck

My 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD has just begun having a sticky odometer. Only falls to 65 mph when off. Just started on the way home tonight. Any suggestions?

I would check the connection at the back of the instrument panel. And check the connector at the Vehicle Speed Sensor. The vehicle speed sensor should be located at the rear of the trans or transfer case. This is a two wire connector.

Electric transmission

Hi. I have a '93 Chevy Suburban that is on the 3rd transmission. What you probably have is the earlier 700R4 transmission. What you should have is the 4L60E. I have done ALOT of research on these transmissions, and what I've found out is this: the 4L60E is essentially the same as the 700R4, with the exception that the 4L60E is completely controlled by the vehicle's computer. The 700R4 uses a more antiquated valve body with a TV (throttle valve) cable. In theory, you could use the 700R4 if you connect the TV cable and properly adjust it. If it's a 4X4, your speed sensor is in the transfer case, so that wouldn't be an issue. The 4L60E used in '93 and '94 will only work in those model year vehicles, because of the type of shift solenoids used. The newer units used pulse width modulation solenoids, as opposed to the older on/off solenoids. I have run my truck with the transmission unplugged and the engine still runs fine. The major problem with using the earlier 700R4as opposed to the correct 4L60E, would be emissions compliance. If you want to discuss this further, email me at big.bad.bones@hotmail.com
