Hi, the relay can be placed either way that it will fit. See the bottom of the following post for an explanation of why this is true: http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6022358-relay_check

Hi, maybe I didn't understand the question. What relays are you talking about?

  • hdhuge Mar 12, 2011

the relay board that is required with the electric relays for the rs electric hideaway headlight system can be installed with the relays facing inward or outward. I know that but which way is the correct way according to GM

OK, if they are standard 4-blade relays, there is no "correct" way that I'm aware of. The relay behaves exacly the same either way it is turned, because the relay is a simple switch with a coil. The polarity of the coil is designed to be reversible, and this is why the relay and socket on the panel is designed to be symmetric. I'm an engineer, so you can trust me on this.

you still have not recognized the issue. which way does the relay pannel itself face! with the relays on the inside facing toward the fender or the outside facing toward the motor? This is a car guy question, not an electrical question. it is a 67 camaro RS as I said in the beginning.

OK sorry, I get the question now, but I still don't think it matters as long as it installs and you can get the cables on. Here are the pics I see online. They all have the relay blades facing outward from the board. Is that what you needed to know? I am also a car guy, and I have a Camaro; but I work on all brands. Any more questions, fire away.

If you're mounting the panel itself, I do not see a picture of that. Whether it faces the fender or the motor should not matter.

this pic does show the mounted position but the orientation isn't very clear

I hit something very hard with my right front rim. the tire now rubs the wheel well. What have I bent =, dammaged ect.?

Depends on what you mean by rubbing on wheel well?

if the wheel is bent inwards, so when the steering is set straight ahead, the damaged wheel is angled inwards or outwards then the tracking arm is bent!

if the wheel well has dropped on the damaged side then it probably is the suspension!

How to adjust camber

move the top of the wheel inboard or outward. Positive camber is moving the top of the tire inward. Negative camber is moving the tp of the wheel outward. If you have shims add or remove then in pairs
front and back. With Struts raise the vehicle till the tires are off the ground. mark the strut at the cam bolt for a reference. Loosen the nuts and move the wheel. The angle changes when the wheel is off the ground.

Maza 323 radiator fan rotating direction

the direction of fan rotation will be on the motor body but check that th curved edge ( leading edge) of the fan blade is facing the radiator and that air is being pulled through th radiator. THe motors are dc operation and can spin in both directions and the fans themselves are made to fit in front of the radiator( a/c fan) and blow air through the radiator. So checking these points is necessary

Why does my front passenger tire lean outwards at the bottom and inwards at the top?

The most common problem would be a bad lower ball joint. It could also be bad control arm bushings or a combination of the two. Neither is an expensive repair. This should be checked out and repaired soon as it could cause control issues. Hope this helps.

2000 Nissan Pathfinder struts. The Haynes manual says that the notch in the upper spring seat is supposed to face outwards. The notch on the strut I removed was facing inwards. Which way is correct?

I know, right. I had the same problem using the Haynes manual when I replaced mine on my '97 4WD Pathfinderl. With the notch facing away from the vehicle, it does not look right, because the angle of the upper seat does not match the coil spring winding angle. I didn't take note of the location of the notch prior to removal. I still installed the upper spring seat with the notch facing outward per the manual. I still wonder if this is correct. What have you found out?

Front struts on a 2000 pathfinder. The haynes manual says the notch in the upper spring seat is supposed to face outwards. The notch on the strut I removed is facing inwards. Which way is correct?

When in doubt, call a Nissan dealer. They will normally tell you for free.Talk to a technician(obviously). If they do not tell you, call a couple of shops.Someone will tell you for free to attract your future business. Then, make a note in your haynes.Good luck! Greg
