Use the cheapest oil you can buy from supermarket ,something like a 10/40 or a 20/50 that says diesel/petrol on the can ,mineral or synthetic it doesnt matter and change every 6000m with a oil filter every third oil change and this will keep the inside of the engine clean .So long as the inside of the engine is clean this will prevent problems with hydraulic tappets and gummed up piston rings .Too much hype is made from oil companies about their particular brand of oil and how long it will last ,this is ok but it allows the inside of the engine to gum up with clag i have found this system i use works on all cars and keeps costs down for the customer ,never had a engine fail on me yet for any of my customers ,now i have had engines blow up after i have changed the oil but this was caused by them not having the oil changed regular and the clag inside has been liberated by new oil and got caught up in the oil pick up filter and BANG big ends gone ,change it as stated and you will never have a problem

The best engine oil for your car is what is specified in the owner's manual. There should also be writing on the top of the oil fill cap saying what kind of oil is needed. This type of oil is specified because that is what Mercedes designed the motor to use.

Hi There we just bought a C200 Kompressor and it doesnt play CDs - it gives a CDS Error , can you advice ?

Hi, My guess is that you have the wrong type of CD. Try another CD.
Some CD players will not play MP3's or others like that.
Thats why you are getting error code.

Mercedes c200 kompressor 2003, engine light on.

If the car is running fine, you may have a loose fuel cap...this will cause the engine light to come on due to the system not being able to pressurize the tank properly....tighten the fuel cap and it will go awy in a few days. If this does not solve the problem and the car is running fine and you have the radio code, simply disconnect the battery (negative cable), wait a few minutes and reconnect. You will have to enter the radio code to get the radio to work again. Good luck

My 2003 mercedes kompressor C200 key is not working!

the key's are special order and they are fairly expensive. Test the voltage in your remote batteries. They should be 3 volts. These systems are very voltage senstive and require a good battery to operate properly. I'm assuming you have the original batteries in the remote now and it is 6 plus years old. These batteries generally last 3 years so it is definatly time if you have not replaced them yet!
