Check your power steering: for leaks and also the tightness of the belt. More then likely the belt or the pulley on the power steering is the problem, Tim

You will need to check your serpentine belt, and if the belt is good, it sounds like your power steering pump may be locking up. This would be a difficult job, so you may have to take it to a shop. Check your power steering fluid as well. If the pump has a leak and no fluid it may be burnt up already.

the steering lines fittings are different sizes it could be the sensor however make sure all the air is bleed out of the system first. to do this with the engine running turn the steering wheel full left and full right until you hear no noise then check the steering fluid level and repeat as needed.

Loud noise burning smell

Most likely a belt problem or a worn out tensioner. You left off the year, make, model and engine so it's a guessing gamet. Read this post on how to track down the source of noise

could be the power steering pump itself. If it has a bad bearing it will do that. Especially when you turn it makes the steering pump work a lot harder.

no noise when turning and stiff steering is usually narrowed down to 2 things. a bad power steering pump or bad rack and pinion assembly. the rack and pinion is most of the time leaking fluid when it is bad, but you stated the fluid is good. I suggest to remove the power steering reservoir cap , start the engine and look inside the reservoir. the fluid should be swirling if the pump is working especially when turning the steering wheel. if the fluid isn' t moving then the pump is most likely bad.

this peice belongs to your power steering pulley its a plastic o\piece that over time brakes off you can either call your dealer and see if its covered by your warranty because its has to be replaced the pats that the plastic belongs on is top pulley you 'll notice powersteering wheel hard to steer and squeeling you must replace part or adjust it so its holding pulley tight itshas grooves in it 2 as a matter of fact if you keep using this pulley with broken plastic it could brake your belt

Play in steering

It could be tie rod ends or the steering box. Raise the front wheels and support the car. Grab one wheel at a time and try to twist it on its vertical axis. You should feel some play in one or both wheel. Look under the car and watch the tie rods (inner and outer) to determine which is worn. Lastly, grab the inner tie rod end and push/pull to determine if the steering box is to blame. Replace the damaged part soon. You do not want to have these parts break while you are driving.
