Since you didn't provide engine size, 5 qts minimum. After putting in 5 qts check level/dipstick.

Your owners manual will have that information in it. Look up Fluids or Oil capacity to find the exact ammount.
V-8's that I've owned have used around 6 plus or minus quarts.

should be 6 qrts for the straight 6 and 5 qrts for the v 8.. call a quickie oil change place in your area for verification is my memory is faulty

no this is not common do you know how to check differecial oil if you can then do so it is probably low

Turning the ignition is very difficult in my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Try squirting some CRC or similar penetrating oil into lock and working key back & forth Might be just a bit dry Otherwise something must be damaged in lock

Just look all over the bottom sides of the oil pan, it should be pretty easy to find.

its your valve lash thats clicking. make an oil change and put some oil treatment. if it still exist, adjust your valve lash.
