Twist the holder and pull it out of the reflector. The bulb will pull out of the holder.

Change indicator bulb front

Under the hood on the headlight bulb housing you will see what looks like a gray colored fin. That is the bulb holder. Space could be tight. Grab and twist to remove the holder. Many times it's the holder and not the bulb. If you change the bulb or holder do both sides at the same time, it's cheap enough.

How do i remove the low beam bulb 2005 chevy cobalt

Under neath the bonnet look for the back of the front lights, there should be a round circle holder which you twist to the right or left and the whole light holder should pop out. Change the bulb and repeat the process you did before except to put back in the light holder and twist to tighten..

How do you replace the shift indicator light in a 2001 highlander. It does not have a console.

I have a v6. the bezel surronding the shift selector panel will need to popped off with a trim stick (i use a flat narrow putty knife. Once the bezel is free move it to the right (keep the wires attached) out of the way. the shift indicator panel can now be removed by using the trim stick to release the four retainers (two on each side near top and bottom). Once the indicator panel is removed, you will see a very small bulb protruding through the left side . reach down with a pair of needle nose pliers or a hemostat (forceps) and rotate the plastic bulb holder/ retainer towards the front of the car(counterclockwise) the bulb and holder can now be pulled out and bulb replaced.

How do you replace the front turn signal on a 2005 Buick Terraza?

Changing front, right turn signal on 2005 Buick Terraza: Open hood; when facing the front of vehicle, the right turn signal is on the passenger side (left). The headlight assembly needs to be removed to easily reach the turn signal. On my vehicle, there is a 10 mm screw on the left side. Remove it. There is L-shaped pin on the right side of the headlight assembly. Swing the pin counter-clockwise (to the left). Pull the pin straight up to remove. The headlight assembly is now loose, but there is a pin snapped in a socket on the back of the assembly that still holds the assembly. Pull the headlight assembly hard and straight to the front of the vehicle. When it snaps loose, the assembly is now held just by the rubber gasket surrounding the assembly. You need to gently work the right side of the gasket out of the grill cowling. The assembly should pull straight out. The wires are long enough to lay the headlight assembly in the engine compartment. Finally, the turn signal is now accessible. Twist the light holder counter-clockwise and pull out the light holder. Change the bulb. Do not punch your man-card for credit until you have successfully reinstalled the headlight assembly. It goes back in a little easier the second time. Once you have put the L-pin in place, the screw back, and successfully tested the lights, you can now punch your man-card.

I give the mechanical engineers and designers a D-minus instead of an F only because I was successful on the first try. No light bulb on anything commonly used by people should be this hard to figure out.

2001 Merc. Sable headlight replacement

There are two 10 millimeter bolts that must be removed. Place these in your pocket or a convenient place so they will not be mispalced or lost. Also you need to pull upwards and remove an aluminun locking tab(coated in black plastic). After this is done carefully slide assembly foward. Press down on the wiring harness clip to remove it from the headlight bulb assembly, Turn the locking ring on the bulb to the right and remove so you can remove the bulb. Twist bulb out. When replacing new bulb do not touch the glass portion of the bulb. If you do so clean off with alcohol. Oil from your fingers left on the bulb will cause the bulb to overheat and fail prematurely. Replace bulb and secure with locking ring. You may also want to change the yellow parking/signal light bulbs at the same time. Clip wiring harness back on and slide headlightassembly back into place. Slide aluminum locking tab back into place. Now hand thread 10mm bolts back into place, Then tighten, do not over tighten. Now do the other side. First time might take you about 10 minutes per side. After that you could do it in a couple of minutes. Info on performing this maintenence can be foud in the owners guide or by downloading the guide from the following link http://www.motorcraftservice.com/pubs/content/~WO1SAB/~MUS~LEN/40/01sabog3e.pdf

Hope this info helped.
