I have to replace fan resister on my 2000 pontiac Montana do I to take out the blower motor to get at the resister

Step 1: Pry and remove the retaining pins (3) that secure the interior panel to the UNDERSIDE of the glove compartment area (near the PASSENGER'S feet).

Step 2: Disconnect the blower motor's wiring harness (1).

Step 3: Loosen and remove the 7/32 mounting bolts (3) that secure the blower motor to the vehicle. Pull the blower motor from the vehicle.

Step 4: Disconnect the wiring harness (1) mounted just to the LEFT of the resistor.

Step 5: Loosen and remove the 7/32 mounting bolts (3) that secure the resistor to the vehicle.

NOTE: You only need to LOOSEN the rear bolts, as the resistor will slide free without completely removing them!

Step 6: You can now slide and remove the resistor.

Step 7: Mount the new resistor by tightening the 7/32 mounting bolts (3). Connect the wiring harness (1).

Step 8: Reattach the blower motor by tightening the 7/32 mounting bolts (3).

Step 9: Connect the blower motor's wiring harness (1).

Step 10: Re-engage the retaining pins (3) to secure the interior panel to the UNDERSIDE of the glove compartment area.

P1300 igniter circuit

check the wiring connections inside ignitor plugs and follow wiring harness from ignitors along the wiring harness as it sounds like ther is a break in the earth wire that feeds 1 and 4 cylinders open the insulation along from the harness where it bends to see if ther is not a bad connection where a wire from both 1 and 4 connect together in the harnes normallly within 30cm of the ignitors inside wiring harness

the best thing to do is get a 12 volt lite tester the one with the pointie end. cut your harness turn on left turn signel. with tester lite grounded tuch the ends of the cut wire from truck strip a small piece of wire covering and attach to your trailor harness when left signal works on the trailor do the right blinker the same way as for running lites turn on your park lites and see witch two wires are lit connect to trailor making shure lites are dim last wire are for brake lites now you well know where to connect to new harness good luck cj

O2 sensor bank1 sensor 2 low voltage

This sensor is mounted in the exhaust pipe close to the downpipe from Bank 1. It sounds like either the sensor has lost its connection, maybe it has become unplugged from the vehicle wiring harness, or it has reached the end of it's service life and should be replaced. Test procedures are difficult without knowing which sensor is fitted as these sensors can have from 1 to 4 wires. All I can suggest at this point is to check the sensor and it's harness connection, make sure the connector is clean and securely plugged in. These sensors only have an output between 0.1 and 1 volt so testing can be difficult without the correct equipment. Check the wiring harness for issues first, then replace the sensor. If the sensor has failed, it may be prudent to replace both sensors at the same time as the other sensor may fail in the near future.
