the heater has a temp blend door the motor that opens and shuts it die . the water or coolant flows through the heater all thye time and this door opens up and lets thye hot air in then the fan blows it around so if the door is always open you will only get hot air .NO Air Con as the hot air heats up the cold real thing .you get to this motor through the clove box very easy iopen the clove box there are stops that dont let it fall down on your legs .now push those stop thingy in on both sides the clove box will come all the way down there byou will see the heater unit and the motor attached on top of it there are 3 bolts on bottom 8mm feel around 1st then un do the flip it up with a blade screw driver unplug the wiers 1st then fit the new one happy day all done the put back together now you have heat and AC again look on you tube for more info
this problem is caused by a defective air temperature control blend door actuator motor, it is about center of dadsh in air ducting, it moves the door that diverts air for cold from ac or hot from heater, you must remove the dash to repace it, about a 15 hour job fotr a home mechanic with a factory repair manual, nearly imposs without one.
