Check for a bad fuel pump relay in the fuse and power distribution box. The relay will allow the pump to run for a short period of time, but the coil inside the relay will not hold contacts to close the circuit allowing for only momentary operation.

Vehicle starts runs for 1-2 minutes then quits, Starts right up. Fuel is being shut down.

Also what no one is mentioning is to make sure you have oil pressure, or that the oil pressure sensor is working, alot of newer vehicles run the fuel pumps off of them oil pressure sensor so if your vehicle stops pumping oil and lubricating, it shuts the fuel pump off to protect itself from damage or further damage

96 T100 (3.4), will only run for 2-3 seconds then quit, change fuel filter, pump, cam sensor and crank sensor still won't run, but will run on ether. Where to go next?

What you are telling me is the engine is firing the plugs but not getting fuel.
When you changed the fuel pump and filter, did you check the fuel pressure at the rail ?
Are the injectors getting power and ground pulse ??

99 silverado starts and then stalls after about 1 second

I would replace MAP sensor this can cause the problem you are describing because it reads the vacuume pressure in the intake manifold so it would let your truck start because there is no reading before it starts but after it starts the sensor will send fauls readings to cumputer and this in turn shuts down engine trying to correct the vacuume. Good Luck

Engine stalling/ high idle

Check that the connector for the mass air flow sensor is properly connected. You will find this on the ducting from the air filter to the engine intake. failing that start looking for a hole in the vaccum system(rubber pipes around the top of the engine).

I have a 2000 Ford Contour and I have a problem with the Fuel system. I have changed the Fuel Pump and Filter and the car still will not run. When I turn the key to on, I can here the pump running for...

that is exactly what it is supposed to do. It shuts off if the engine does not start.
The fuel pump does run while the engine is cranking though.

Spray some starting fluid in the air intake or throttle body fr about 3 seconds. If starts for a few seconds, then you have a fuel problem. If not, then check for spark at the plug wire.
report results.

fuel pressure should be 40 psi.

signs of a bad fuel pressure regulator. the vehicle runs rough, the engine will not start usually in the mornings. many times engine starts but stalls shortly after starting. a bad regulator can result in fouled plugs. black soot on plugs, blake smoke from tailpipe, running rough, stalling. you could have residue in fuel tank and need to change fuel filter again. have a very good day !!

2003 saturn vue: engine shut off while driving; tried to restart. Starter and motor turned but would not restart. 1 hour later started and drove it. This is second time in 3 weeks. What could it be?

it could be the ignition or fuel system's failure. but most cases to this kind of trouble it has failure to their igniter( ignition coil).

the EGR does not affect engine starting. You need to see if it is a spark issue or fuel issue. Best way is to listen very carefully at the fuel tank. Turn key to on and listen for fuel pump humming for 5 seconds. If yes, then spray starting fluid into the air itnake for about 3 to 5 seconds. Try to start car. If it starts and runs a few seconds, it is a fuel issue. If not, then it is a psark issue.

I'm assuming the engine is cranking but not starting.

report results.
