Fan is not working on 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500 truck radiator fan motor?


The engine cooling fan system consists of 2 electrical cooling fans and 3 fan relays. The relays are arranged in a series/parallel configuration that allows the powertrain control module (PCM) to operate both fans together at low or high speeds. The cooling fans and fan relays receive battery positive voltage from the underhood fuse block.
During low speed operation, the PCM supplies the ground path for the low speed fan relay through the low speed cooling fan relay control circuit. This energizes the low speed fan relay coil, closes the relay contacts, and supplies battery positive voltage from the low fan fuse through the cooling fan motor supply voltage circuit to the left cooling fan. The ground path for the left cooling fan is through the cooling fan s/p relay and the right cooling fan. The result is a series circuit with both fans running at low speed.
During high speed operation the PCM supplies the ground path for the low speed fan relay through the low speed cooling fan relay control circuit. After a 3 second delay, the PCM supplies a ground path for the high speed fan relay and the cooling fan s/p relay through the high speed cooling fan relay control circuit. This energizes the cooling fan s/p relay coil, closes the relay contacts, and provides a ground path for the left cooling fan. At the same time the high speed fan relay coil is energized closing the relay contacts and provides battery positive voltage from the high fan fuse on the cooling fan motor supply voltage circuit to the right cooling fan. During high speed fan operation, both engine cooling fans have there own ground path. The result is a parallel circuit with both fans running at high speed.
Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop !

What is the relay location in the relay box


The problem would be in the stalk controller. The wiper Relay is what provides power to the motor for all settings, the delayed wipers, low speed, and high speed. There are not 3 relays, but 1 for all functions. If you have power to the high setting, the relay is working.

In delay cycle wiper hesitates


Hi,
The hesitation of the wipers in delay cycle is normal. You can twist the nob on the end of the arm to speed up or slow down the hesitation.
If you are driving in a light mist and the wipers ran at normal speed most of the time the would be wiping a dry windshield. Chattering and bouncing. With the delay set at the right speed the wipers only go on every so often, No dry chattering. In a full rain just twist the knob past the delay cycle to get low or high speed from the wipers.

Windsheild wipers work only on the low speed


check the winshield wiper fuse sometimes they have a high low wiper fuses otherwise they can be known for the winshield wiper delay switch to go out

I have a 87 relient that is experiencing wiper problems. low and high speed work ok, delay does not function is stays in low. when switched from delay to either low or high wiper quit functioning. a click...


To the best of my knowledge, no parts are available for this problem.
This will be a big hunt for you to try to get the help you need.
Try car parts stores, car dealer ships, then go to Amazon and finally e-bay.
Feel free to take any side trips you wish in the looking.
I have had similar problems myself with malfunctioning delay circuits.
Perhaps your best bet its to try to find an older mechanic who knows how to by-pass the problem and cut the delay out of the circuit.

The windshield wipers don't work as they should. when on low speed or high speed they only do the delay feature and that doesn't work right either.


Then your switch where you turn on the wipers are messed up you should get them checked out. Hope this helps!?

check wiper relay or possible the stalk itself could have broken contacts
