Hi,
The DTC that you have here is for the Airbag in the drivers side so if it is miss firing then this is another trouble code which you will need to get from a diagnostic code reader.
But the 1-5 trouble code is a short to ground in the drivers airbag.
Let me know what the miss firing code is when you get it.
Thanks
Jason

If the coolant was frozen when you started the motor then there could be engine damage. If ok then run the fault codes and check for a faulty ambient temperature sensor.

What does the code "misfire on bank 1 mean" on a diagnostic code for a 2000 lincoln navigator mean?

Do you mean "missfire on cylinder 1", code P0301? If so, that means that the computer has detected incomplete combustion in the #1 cylinder, which would be the front passenger side cylinder. There are many potential causes to a cylinder missfire ranging from worn / bad ignition components, clogged / bad fuel injector or even internal engine damage.

However the most common cause, especially on ford vehicles is a bad ignition coil. When trying to determine the cause of a missfire on an engine such as the one in your Navigator i start with removing the plug and checking for carbon tracing, excessive plug gap or contaminants on the plug. If that checks out ok i then swap the ignition coil from the missfiring cylinder to one that isn't. For example, I would swap the ignition coil from #1 to #2 and clear the codes. Then drive around until the light comes back. If it comes back with a missfire on cylinder #2 then you know the cause is the ignition coil and it has to be replaced. If it doesn't then it is something else causing the missfire which will require a bit more diagnostics.

How many miles are on your Navigator? Have the plugs ever been replaced? If you have close to 100k it would be a good idea to replace all of the plugs. Be careful when removing the plugs, it's not difficult to pull the threads right out of the head when removing the plug.

My ford focus' check engine light just came on on the way home from work and is flashing periodically car seems to be running ok so far can you help

flashing check engine lights mean that there is a critical failer that could cause severe damage. they should not be taken lightly. a missfire can cause the light to flash. the best thing to do is take car to a shop or an auto parts store to get the check engine light read. check engine lights dont always tell you exactly what is rong, but this will give a good direction to start in. a check engine code would be helpfull in diagnoseing the cars problem.

I have a missfire code on the check engine light. 1997 honda prel

Find out which cylinder is missfiring by using an inductive timing light to check each plug wire for spark. If you find a dead wire you should replace the all the wires and spark plugs. If you don't find a dead wire check the distributor cap. You could have a broken contact or a crack which might cause a loss of spark at one cylinder.

Honda wires are much better than their aftermarket counterparts so don't skimp there.

I hope this helps. Good luck and be careful!

Check engine light comes on for few hours and then goes off. This time though the car began sputtering at 55mph but engine light went off again an hour later.

time to get a OBDII diag done for the check engine light. there will be one or more error codes stored and that will point you to the system, probably emissions or fuel, that is causing the problem. once the code or codes is read, you need to pinpoint the exact part that is failing and have it replaced soon or the engine could stall on you at any time.

That is a code for the secondary (spark) circuit on cylinder number 3. It is usually caused by a bad connection between the coil and the plug (take the coil off the plug and check for moisture in the boot). If not, it might be a bad coil...

Etc light come on when riding for about 1 hr and engine lights

Have code history read may be slow to respond O2 sensor, that is one of the most common. Heading and question are confusing, etc (electronic traction control) may run self diag after that time, could be normal. Best thing is to get code history pulled, some autozone's/part stores will do that for free no need to pay
