1996 Lincoln Continental Logo

It is a 1996 front wheel drive continental, the problem is that it will start normaly for a few weeks, then you try to start it and it just sit there and lets you crank away and it will not start. If you leave it alone for a day or two then try again it starts, what can be the problem hear!!, there is a new fuel pump fitted and all fuel filters have been changed

With new fuel pump and filter, I would suggest looking at the electronic ignition.. sometimes when they go "bad" they work sometimes and don't at other times.. frustrating for sure..

Locate water pump and thermostat on a 96 Lincoln continental?

Water pump is in the middle of the motor on the passenger side of a front wheel drive (big pulley beside alternator). The thermostat should be at the driver side of motor ( follow the top hose from the radiator to the connection at motor) that will be the thermostat housing!

If your car is front wheel drive Taurus sturts will not work. You can go on ebay and find the right sturts that are changed over for your car.

My 1996 linc. continental won't pump the front air bags. only the back

sounds like the sensors for the front wheels are not reading correctly. Try unhooking the battery and leaving it off for a while. Then retry, you can also try to get the air ride computer into diagnostic mode. www.lincolnsonline.com

Town Car is rear wheel drive and Continental is front wheel drive

Front wheel shaking in my pathfinder 1998

I have a 1994 explorer that did the same thing and what I had to do is change the radius arm bushings as well as ball joints and tie rod ends - this seemed to fix it, however yours may be a little different but that is where I would start
