With new fuel pump and filter, I would suggest looking at the electronic ignition.. sometimes when they go "bad" they work sometimes and don't at other times.. frustrating for sure..

Locate water pump and thermostat on a 96 Lincoln continental?

Water pump is in the middle of the motor on the passenger side of a front wheel drive (big pulley beside alternator). The thermostat should be at the driver side of motor ( follow the top hose from the radiator to the connection at motor) that will be the thermostat housing!

Grinding noise when turning wheel

I have heard a lot of dry outer tie rod ends and ball joints causing this problem. Ford used non greasable front end parts in those years.Could also be in the strut mounts. Get a second opinion. If it makes the noise sitting still it should be easy to find with stethascope or chassi ear.

My 1996 linc. continental won't pump the front air bags. only the back

sounds like the sensors for the front wheels are not reading correctly. Try unhooking the battery and leaving it off for a while. Then retry, you can also try to get the air ride computer into diagnostic mode. www.lincolnsonline.com
