Probably more than you want to know, but here is the workshop manual on the transmission. I had a friend with a Pajero, and it had some kind of jangling bell if he went over 68 mph. Drove us mad going to the airport on a 325 mile trip.

How do i find the transmission fluid dip stick on a 2001 honda passport?

There is no dipstick. The engine and transmission was designed by Isuzu up till 2002, and the automatic transmission was a sealed, no-maint. transmission. You will either need to purchase the special tools needed, or...........that's right, go to a transmission shop!!!

Transmission light goes on.put transmission fluid in then the light about 2 days its on again

Transmission fluid unlike oil usually do not burn up if it was low you probably have a leak. You would not want to overfill a transmission.
You may need a fluid/filter change, the filter may be clogged and limiting the flow of fluid. Take the car in to a dealer and have them read the code, they usually will do code reading for free. Usually transmission fluid is checked when engine is warm and the engine running in park. Do not overfill ..

Filter or valve problem in the transmission. Transmissions also need regular fluid changes and filter changes and most people do not know this. You can do this yourself, or have someone do it.
